Abstract: The invention relates to a lever-type connector for facilitating the connection. The connector includes a housing on which a cable guide cover is mounted. A lever is rotatably mounted on the cable guide cover and displaces a slide. Abstract: A fuel injector includes fixed metal components, in particular an injector body, a solenoid actuator equipped with a retaining spring that holds a control valve stem, a control valve body including a seat for the control valve stem, a spacer between the body of the control valve and an injection nozzle, a control chamber, and an injection needle seat. The fuel injector also includes movable metal components, in particular the control valve stem and an armature thereof and an injection needle. Surfaces of the metal components that are in contact with one another are contact surfaces. Resistive surface coatings are arranged on a number of the contact surfaces. The overall electrical resistivity of the injector between the body of the solenoid actuator and the body of the injector varies by at least three distinct ohm values intermittently according to the kinetics of the injection needle of the injector.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a control valve for a fuel injector. The control valve has a control valve body which defines a supply passage for high pressure fuel. A control chamber and a pressure compensating chamber are provided in the control valve. The control chamber and the pressure compensating chamber are both in fluid communication with the supply passage. A control valve member is provided for controlling fuel pressure in the control chamber. The pressure compensating chamber is spaced radially outwardly from the control chamber. The invention also relates to a control valve member having a pressure compensating cavity.

Abstract: An electrical connection device includes a housing with a tubular cavity and a contact having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a cylindrical first external surface oriented about a longitudinal axis and is inserted into the tubular cavity of the housing. The second portion extends outside the tubular cavity and has an orientation zone with a second external surface that is partially, but not completely, cylindrical about the longitudinal axis. The electrical connection device further includes an anti-rotation device, displaceable in translation up to a final position, and having a first surface complementary to the second external surface of the orientation zone and abutting thereon when the anti-rotation device is in the final position and the contact is oriented in an operating position. A method of mounting such an electrical connection device is also provided.

Abstract: A fuel injector comprises a supply means for high pressure fuel, an injection nozzle including a valve needle engageable with a valve needle seating to control fuel delivery from the injector, a first filling flow path providing flow from the supply means into a control chamber, and a control valve for controlling fuel pressure within the control chamber. The control valve comprises a control valve member slidable within a guide bore of a valve housing. The injector further comprises a drain flow path including a drain restriction and permitting flow from the control chamber to a second valve chamber when the control valve member is in a second state, and a second filling flow path permitting flow from a first valve chamber into the control chamber when the control valve member is in a first state, wherein the second filling flow path bypasses the drain restriction.

Abstract: The invention relates to a connector having a lever for facilitating the connection. The connector comprises a housing on which a lever is rotatably mounted between an open position, in which a counter-connector may be coupled to the connector in one direction of coupling, and a closed position, in which the connector and the counter-connector are locked together. The lever is maintained in the closed position by a lock that is connected to the housing with the help of two tabs, each extending respectively from the lock towards the housing, in a direction perpendicular to the direction of coupling. In order to disengage the lever and the lock, the lock is displaced towards the housing by a translation perpendicular to the direction of coupling.

Abstract: A fuel pump unit includes a pump head provided with an axial blind bore within which is arranged a piston extending from an inner end, inside the bore, to an outer end, outside the head, the outer end cooperating with a cam follower and a cam of which rotations reciprocally displace the piston. The pump unit also includes a coil spring axially compressed between pump head and the cam follower and a tubular turret assembly extending toward the cam and provided with a through bore through which extends the piston, the final spirals of the spring being slipped around the outer surface of the turret. The turret is an added part, non-integral to the pump head and, arranged in abutment against an under face of the pump head, the blind bore being coaxial to the through bore arranged in the turret.

Abstract: A process for desulfation of a NOx adsorber in a diesel internal combustion engine exhaust system is disclosed, which comprises: determining an amount of post fuel (Q2) required to reach a relatively rich target exhaust air fuel ratio (AFRrich) on the basis of a measured air flow; determining a heating-contributing fuel value (ηQ2) required to reach or maintain a target desulfation temperature in said NOx adsorber by way of an exothermal reaction; calculating a target air flow (Airtgt) corresponding to the air flow required for a substantially stoichiometric combustion of a torque-contributing main fuel quantity (Q1) together with said heating-contributing fuel value (ηQ2); and causing the engine to inject said post fuel amount (Q2) and said main fuel quantity (Q1) while controlling the air flow to meet said target air flow (Airtgt).
