    摘要: With reference to an interface that performs bus reset and reconfiguration of a bus when a node is plugged or unplugged in correspondence with the hot swapping function, when the node plugging/unplugging detector 43 detects plugging or unplugging of a node, the data transfer detector 44 detects whether data related to a specific node is transferred on the bus. When it is detected that the data related to the specific node is transferred, the bus reset issue controller 45 holds the notification of the unplugging of said node to the physical layer 41 until the data transfer is completed, thus delaying the issue of the bus reset. The interface device is capable of delaying only the specific data transfer being preferable not to be interrupted thus effectively protecting the hot swapping function.

    摘要: A magnetic disk device of embedded-servo type is capable of performing dummy operation for suppressing waveform degradation of signal reproduced by magnetic heads at a high speed with high reliability. When a waveform deformation occurs in a No.0 head, a controller changes over the No.0 head to a No.1 head operating normally, whereupon a cylinder portion for which dummy operation is to be performed is sought on the basis of the servo information supplied from the No.1 head. The cylinder portion destined for the dummy write operation contains servo information at timing positions that are the same for the individual magnetic heads. When passing of the No.1 head over the cylinder portion is confirmed, the No.1 head is changed over to the No.0 head for performing dummy write operation for suppressing the waveform deformation of the reproduce signal outputted from the No.0 head. Before the timing for succeeding information, the No.1 head is restored by issuing a head change command signal. Because the seek operation is realized exclusively by the magnetic head suffering no abnormality, the dummy write operation for preventing waveform deformation of the reproduced signal outputted from the No.0 head can be realized without fail.

    摘要: An apparatus for displaying a plurality of compressed images is disclosed, in which a high quality freeze display is made possible with a high vertical resolution and a multiplicity of compressed images can be displayed at the same time on the display screen without increasing the circuit scale extremely. Different video signals are processed for image compression in a plurality of processing circuits, and a synthesized image is supplied to a display unit for displaying four compressed images on the display screen at the same time. In the case of an image sequence display, the image size is compressed into one half in horizontal and vertical directions respectively by the processing circuits, and the odd and even fields are separately written in field memories. Also, in the case of freeze display, all the lines are written alternately in the field memories without compressing them vertically by a filter circuit. In either display mode, the data are read at high speed from the field memory for odd fields, and from the field memory for even fields.
