摘要: A system and method for allocating one or more portions of the frequency spectrum among a plurality of radio frequency (RF) transmitters and/or receivers. The system comprises a hub station that dynamically allocates the frequency spectrum in response to demand of the plurality of RF transmitters and/or receivers. Based on the demand, the hub station analyzes the state of performance of one or more groups of RF transmitters and/or receivers, and optimizes utilization of the assigned frequency spectrum.

摘要: A distributed collaborative computer system that supports document sharing is provided that comprises a plurality of server computers interconnected via a high-speed link. Client computers can connect to any available server computer and start or join a conference hosted on either the server computer to which the client computer is connected or any other server in the system. As a result, the system and method of the present invention allow document sharing among an arbitrary number of client computers.

摘要: A distributed collaborative computer system is provided that comprises a plurality of server computers interconnected via a high-speed link. Client computers can connect to any available server computer and start or join a conference hosted on either the server computer to which the client computer is connected or any other server in the system. As a result, the system and method of the present invention is easily scalable to support an arbitrary number of participants to a conference by merely adding the appropriate number of server computers to the system. In addition, by replicating the conference information on more than one server computer, the single point of failure limitation is eliminated. In fact, if a server hosting or participating in a conference malfunctions, the failure is detected by other server computers and the client computer is able to reconnect to the conference through a new server computer.

摘要: A communication system comprising three communication resources: a contention-type access block, a non-contention access block and a second non-contention access block called a reserved block. Each time that a remote unit has a block of data to transfer to a hub station, it sends the block of data over the contention-type access block. It also sends a corresponding notification message over the reserved block. If the hub station receives the notification message but not the block of data, it sends a response message to the remote unit which designates a resource within the non-contention access block. The remote unit then sends the block of data to the hub station over the designated resource.

摘要: A high resolution bathymetric sidescan sonar system for measuring micro-geomorphy of the sea bottom having an underwater vehicle, an underwater electronic subsystem mounted on the underwater vehicle and containing a transmitter and a receiver, and two sonar arrays mounted symmetrically on two sides of a lower part of the underwater vehicle and being connected to the underwater electronic subsystem through a cable. Each sonar array has a transmitting linear array and three or more parallel receiving linear arrays. The parallel receiving linear arrays are arranged at equal spaces, and the space d between two adjacent parallel receiving linear arrays is λ>d≧λ/2, in which λ is a wavelength of an acoustic wave, and an operation frequency of the parallel receiving linear arrays ranges from 30 kHz to 1200 kHz.

摘要: An apparatus, method, and computer program for instant remote document sharing. In one embodiment, referred to as “remote document sharing,” a file on a remote server is converted to a “shared document” which is distributed to the members of a data conference for review. In another embodiment, referred to as “remote application viewing,” the “owner” of a document on a remote server shares the screens created by an application associated with the document. The other members of the data conference can view the screens, but cannot interact with the application. In another embodiment, referred to as “remote application sharing,” the “owner” of a document on a remote server shares the screens created by an application associated with the document. The other members of the data conference can view the screens and interact with the application.
