    摘要: A power semiconductor device having a current detecting function comprising a detection part that includes the elements of a better reach-through withstand voltage capability than those of a principal current part. The power semiconductor device comprises such elements as DMOS, IGBT or BPT cells. One area of the device acts as the detection part and another as the principal current part. The detection part and the principal current part share as their common electrode a high density substrate having a low density layer of a first conductivity type. The surface of the low density layer carries a principal and a subordinate well region of a second conductivity type each. The surface of the principal well region bears a surface electrode region of the first conductivity type acting as the other electrode of the principal current part; the surface of the subordinate well region carries a surface electrode region of the first conductivity type acting as the other electrode of the detection part. The subordinate well region is made shallower than the principal well region illustratively by use of a mask having narrower apertures through which to form the former region. This causes a reach-through to occur in the principal current part with its well region having a shorter distance to the high density substrate, and not in the detection part with its well region having a longer distance to the substrate.

    摘要: An optical space switch includes a polarization controller, a beam splitter, a first reflection block and a second reflection block. The polarization controller has a first mode and a second mode. The polarization controller maintains the polarization of input light in the first mode and changes it by 90.degree. in the second mode. The first reflection block includes a quarter wave plate and a light path changing element. The input light from the polarization beam splitter is reflected by the first reflection block. During this time, the input light passes through the quarter wave plate twice. Thus, the polarization of the input light is changed by 90.degree.. Further, the light path of the input light is shifted by a predetermined distance by the light path changing element. The second reflection block has a quarter wave plate and a mirror. The second reflection block receives the input light from the polarization beam splitter, and returns it thereto. During this time, since the input light passes through the quarter wave plate of the second block twice, the polarization thereof is changed by 90.degree.. The input light is emitted from the polarization beam splitter via a first ouput path or a second output path.

    摘要: A hatching egg inspection apparatus includes a loader unit, an inspection unit for determining the viability or the like as to whether a hatching egg is an unfertilized egg or a growth-stopping egg, a rejection unit for rejecting a hatching egg determined to be an unfertilized egg or the like, and an unloader unit for sending a hatching egg toward the next step. The inspection unit is provided with a light emitting unit for emitting prescribed light toward the hatching egg, a cap attachment unit through which the light having been emitted to the hatching egg and having transmitted through the hatching egg passes, and a light receiving unit for receiving the light that has passed through the cap attachment unit. The cap attachment unit includes a cylindrical cap coming into contact with the hatching egg, and a plate to which the cap is attached.

A drive signal determiner determines, based on the norm set by the norm setter and the phase set by the phase setter, a drive signal, and applies the drive signal to a switching member to thereby drive the switching member such that the generated torque is adjusted to the request torque.
