The controller is programmed to identify at least one driving rule associated with at least one portion of the environment surrounding the vehicle using the at least one vehicle sensor, determine an applicability state of the at least one driving rule, where the applicability state includes an applicable state and a non-applicable state, and display a graphic using the display in response to determining that the applicability state of the at least one driving rule is the applicable state.

Abstract: A system and method of predicting a target vehicle entry into a side blind zone of an ADAS equipped vehicle and displaying a real-time alert to inform an operator or occupant of the ADAS equipped vehicle of the predicted target vehicle entry into the side blind zone. The system includes exterior sensors, interior sensors, an augmented reality rearview mirror, and a module. The module is configured to detect an object behind the ADAS equipped vehicle, predict a path of the object, determine a probability that the predicted path of the object will enter a side blind zone of the vehicle, and determine an entry of the object into the side blind zone of the vehicle when the probability exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A vehicle includes a system for generating, monitoring, and correcting an alert for an occupant of the vehicle. The system further includes multiple on-board input devices for generating a visual alert signal, an audio alert signal, and a haptic alert signal for an associated one of the visual notification, the audio notification, and the haptic notification received from notification devices. The system further includes a computer having one or more processors and a non-transitory computer readable storage medium (CRM) storing instructions. The processor is programmed to determine a priority level of the alert, compare the priority level to a predetermined priority level threshold, and generate a reporting activation signal in response to the processor determining that the priority level is below the predetermined priority level threshold. The notification devices generates in real-time an error notification to indicate to the occupant that the notification characteristic is below the predetermined quality threshold.

Abstract: A control system for a vehicle comprises a controller comprising a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable medium including instructions. The system comprises a transformable knob manipulated between first and second states. The knob comprises a body having a periphery wall arranged to flex between first and second configurations with the first and second states, respectively. The system comprises an output device arranged to change between first and second settings. Manipulation of the transformable knob from the first state to the second state transmits an input signal to the controller and facilitates flexing of the periphery wall from the first configuration to the second configuration. The controller receives the input signal, and the processor compares the input signal to the instructions in the non-transitory computer-readable medium and transmit an output signal to the output device to change the output device from the first setting to the second setting.
