Abstract: The invention relates to thermosetting powder coating compositions as these are disclosed herein. The compositions comprise certain unsaturated resins comprising ethylenic unsaturations, curing agents selected from vinyl urethanes, vinyl functionalized urethane resins and mixtures thereof, dilauroyl peroxide as initiator, and a co-initiator selected from the group of onium compounds and sulpho-compounds. The invention further relates to a process for making said thermosetting powder coating compositions and processes for coating an article with said thermosetting powder coating compositions. The invention further relates to cured thermosetting powder coating compositions obtained by curing of the thermosetting powder coating compositions of the invention. The invention further relates to an article having coated thereon said thermosetting powder coating composition as well as to an article having coated and cured thereon said thermosetting powder coating composition. The invention further relates to the use of said thermosetting powder coating compositions, to the use of an article having coated thereon said thermosetting powder coating compositions and to the use of an article having coated and cured thereon said thermosetting powder coating compositions. The invention further relates to various uses of either the thermosetting powder coating compositions of the invention, or the cured thermosetting powder coating compositions of the invention or of articles having coated thereon the thermosetting powder coating composition of the invention, or of articles having coated and cured thereon the thermosetting powder coating composition of the invention. The invention further relates to a method for enabling the fast heat-curing of a thermosetting powder coating composition at low temperature. The invention further relates to a method for enhancing the chemical resistance of a powder coating obtained by heat curing of the thermosetting powder coating composition of the invention at low temperature.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a fermentation product from lignocellulosic material, comprising the following steps: a) optionally, pre-treatment of the lignocellulosic material, b) optionally, washing of the optionally pretreated lignocellulosic material, c) enzymatic hydrolysis of the optionally washed and/or optionally pretreated lignocellulosic material using an enzyme composition comprising at least two cellulases and whereby the enzyme composition at least comprises LPMO, and optionally purifying the hydrolysed lignocellulosic material, d) fermentation of the hydrolysed lignocellulosic material to produce a fermentation product, and e) optionally, recovery of a fermentation product, wherein oxygen is consumed in amounts corresponding to between 20 and 5000 mmol molecular oxygen per kg glucan present in the lignocellulosic material, the oxygen is added after the pretreatment and before and/or during the enzymatic hydrolysis of the lignocellulosic material, preferably in an amount corresponding to at least 30 mmol molecular oxygen per kg glucan present in the lignocellulosic material, more preferably in an amount corresponding to at least 40 mmol molecular oxygen per kg glucan present in the lignocellulosic material, and most preferably in an amount corresponding to at least 50 mmol molecular oxygen per kg glucan present in the lignocellulosic material is consumed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a composite sheet, and a ballistic resistant article, comprising unidirectionally aligned high performance polyethylene (HPPE) fibers and a polymeric resin, wherein said polymeric resin comprises a homopolymer or copolymer of ethylene and wherein said polymeric resin has a density as measured according to ISO1183 of between 930 and 980 kg/m3, and a peak melting temperature of from 115 to 140° C.; and said polymeric resin is present in an amount of from 5 to 25% by weight based on the total weight of the composite sheet. It further relates to a method for manufacturing a composite sheet comprising assembling HPPE fibers to a sheet, applying an aqueous suspension of a polymeric resin to the HPPE fibers, partially drying the aqueous suspension, optionally applying a temperature and/or a pressure treatment to the composite sheet.

Abstract: Methods to prevent ketosis or minimize the effects of ketosis in ruminant animals are provided. This methods include feeding to the animal biotin in combination with a mixture of at least two essential oil compounds selected from the group consisting of thymol, eugenol, meta-cresol, vaniline and guajacol. The methods usefully prevent and/or inhibit ketosis of calving ruminant animals and the subsequent need for veterinary treatment. In a preferred embodiment of a feeding concept for dairy cattle, especially calving dairy cattle, biotin is used in an amount sufficient to provide a daily dosage of 10 mg to 20 mg per head to which it is to be administered. It is at present contemplated that the essential oils are administered in amounts (total dosage ranges of essential oils) of 1 to 1.5 g per head per day.

Abstract: Aqueous coating compositions include dispersed polyurethane-vinyl polymer hybrid particles obtained by free-radical polymerization of at least one vinyl monomer in the presence of a polyurethane. The polyurethane and the vinyl polymer in the hybrid particles are present in a weight ratio of polyurethane to vinyl polymer ranging from 1:1 to 20:1, and the polyurethane is the reaction product of at least the following components: (a) from 5 to 40 wt. % of at least one organic difunctional isocyanate, (b) from 0.5 to 4 wt. % of an isocyanate-reactive compound containing ionic or potentially ionic water-dispersing groups having a molecular weight of from 100 to 500 g/mol, (c) from 40 to 80 wt. % of at least one diol having a molecular weight from 500 to 5000, (d) from 0 to 10 wt. % of at least one active-hydrogen chain extending compound with a functionality of at least 2 other than water, (e) from 0 to 10 wt. % of at least one diol having a molecular weight below 500 g/mol. The isocyanate and hydroxy groups on the components used are present in a respective mole ratio (NCO to OH) in the range of from 0.8:1 to 5:1.
