摘要: This invention relates to an aqueous ink jet ink emulsion obtained by emulsion polymerization of (b) an ethylenic unsaturated bond-containing monomer under the presence of (a) a hydrophilic group-, hydrophobic group- and radical reactive group-containing reactive emulsifier, and there is provided an additive (polymer emulsion) having an effect of improving print quality (print density, abrasion resistance and glossiness) of printed matter by adding the emulsion to an aqueous ink.

摘要: A liquid discharge head configured to discharge liquid is disclosed that includes a silicone resin layer formed on the side of a surface from which the liquid is discharged. The silicone resin layer serves as a water-repellent layer. The number of water-repellent molecular chains is greater than or equal to half of the number of hydrophilic molecular chains on the surface of the silicone resin layer, and the number of hydrophilic molecular chains in the silicone resin layer is greater on the side of the interface with a base material on which the silicone resin layer is formed than on the surface of the silicone resin layer.

摘要: A lower link for an engine piston crank mechanism includes first and second half members joined by bolts to form a crankpin bearing portion. The first half member includes a first pin boss portion to connect the lower link with a first link which is one of an upper link connected with a piston and a control link having one end mounted swingably on the engine. The second half member includes a second pin boss portion to connect the lower link with a second link which is the other of the upper link and the control link, and an internally threaded portion into which one bolt is screwed. The second half member further includes a load transfer portion which is made greater in rigidity than the internally threaded portion.

摘要: A transmitting section makes light, intensity-modulated by a modulating signal of a sine wave having a designated frequency, be incident on one end side of an optical fiber which is a measurement object. A feature value determining section converts the light, which exits from another end side of the optical fiber, into an electric signal, and finds, from the electric signal, a predetermined feature value of a signal component having a frequency equal to the frequency of the modulating signal. A computing section obtains a nonlinear refractive index of the optical fiber to be measured from the predetermined feature value by calculation corresponding to the predetermined feature value based on a nonlinear Schroedinger (Schrödinger) equation.
