摘要: A method of a hydrocarbon product and ammonia comprises introducing C2H6 to a positive electrode of an electrochemical cell comprising the positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a proton-conducting membrane between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The proton-conducting membrane comprising an electrolyte material having an ionic conductivity greater than or equal to about 10−2 S/cm at one or more temperatures within a range of from about 150° C. to about 600° C. N2 is introduced to the negative electrode of the electrochemical cell. A potential difference is applied between the positive electrode and the negative electrode of the electrochemical cell. A system for co-producing higher hydrocarbons and NH3, and an electrochemical cell are also described.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a catalyst system comprising i) (a) a bicyclic 2-[(phosphinyl)aminyl] cyclic imine chromium salt or (b) a chromium salt and a bicyclic 2-[(phosphinyl)aminyl] cyclic imine and ii) an organoaluminum compound. The present disclosure also relates to a process comprising: a) contacting i) ethylene; ii) a catalyst system comprising (a) a 2-[(phosphinyl)aminyl] cyclic imine chromium salt complex or (b) a chromium salt and a bicyclic 2-[(phosphinyl)aminyl] cyclic imine; ii) an organoaluminum compound, and iii) optionally an organic reaction medium; and b) forming an oligomer product in a reaction zone.

摘要: Disclosed are processes for oligomerizing ethylene by contacting a catalyst system, ethylene, and optionally hydrogen to form an oligomer product in a reaction zone, wherein the catalyst system comprises: a chromium component comprising an N2-phosphinyl amidine chromium compound complex, an N2-phosphinyl formamidine chromium compound complex, and/or an N2-phosphinyl guanidine chromium compound complex, and an aluminoxane; wherein the aluminoxane is characterized by 400 MHz proton NMR in which: (a) the ratio of peaks found in the range of −0.86 ppm to −0.74 ppm to peaks found in a range of −0.03 ppm to 0.07 ppm is less than or equal to 2.8:1; (b) the ratio of peaks found in the range of −0.03 ppm to 0.025 ppm to peaks found in a range of 0.025 ppm to 0.07 ppm is less than or equal to 15:1; and/or (c) the ratio of peaks found in a range of −0.86 ppm to −0.78 ppm to peaks found in the range of −0.78 ppm to −0.74 ppm is less than or equal to 6.5:1.

摘要: A process for producing alpha-olefin dimers comprises contacting, at a temperature of 80° C. or more, a feedstock comprising at least one C8+ (linear) alpha-olefin with a catalyst system comprising activator and one or more catalyst compounds represented by the formula: where M is a Group 4 metal; n is 1, 2, or 3; RA is hydrogen or a C1 to C10 alkyl; each of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, and R8 is independently selected from hydrogen and C1 to C10 alkyl; each X is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbyl radicals having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, hydrides, amides, alkoxides, sulfides, phosphides, halides, and a combination thereof, (two X's may form a part of a fused ring or a ring system), the contacting being conducted under conditions effective to oligomerize at least part of C8+ alpha-olefin to produce an oligomerized product containing at least 30 wt % of the alpha-olefin dimer and at least 80 mol % of vinylidene unsaturation, where the conversion of the alpha olefin is at least 10 wt %, based upon the weight of the alpha olefin monomer entering the reactor and the weight of dimer produced.

摘要: A process for deactivation of an olefin oligomerization catalyst is described, including contacting a catalyst composition with a catalyst quenching medium to form a deactivated catalyst composition, and recovering excess catalyst quenching medium. The catalyst quenching medium includes an alcohol having at least 6 carbon atoms, an organic amine, an amino alcohol, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing. The catalyst quenching medium is present in a molar ratio of catalyst quenching medium to catalyst of at least 3:1. A process for the oligomerization of an olefin is also described, including feeding the olefin, a solvent, and a catalyst composition into a reactor, oligomerizing the olefin in the reactor to form a reaction product stream including linear alpha olefins, solvent, and the catalyst composition, and contacting the reaction product stream with a catalyst quenching medium.
