Abstract: Carbon materials having carbon aggregates, where the aggregates include carbon nanoparticles and no seed particles, are disclosed. In various embodiments, the nanoparticles include graphene, optionally with multi-walled spherical fullerenes and/or another carbon allotrope. In various embodiments, the nanoparticles and aggregates have different combinations of: a Raman spectrum with a 2D-mode peak and a G-mode peak, and a 2D/G intensity ratio greater than 0.5, a low concentration of elemental impurities, a high Brunauer-Emmett and Teller (BET) surface area, a large particle size, and/or a high electrical conductivity. Methods are provided to produce the carbon materials.

Abstract: The present invention provides a computer system and method for facilitating a transaction between a buyer and a seller. The seller is one of multiple available providers of a product and/or service. Initially, the buyer sends out an order, and the order is automatically verified. A seller is then determined based on at least one desirable characteristic of that particular seller. Then, the order is automatically translated into a format understandable by the desired seller. The order is communicated to the desired seller and the status of the order is later communicated to the buyer.

Abstract: Various methods and devices that involve snubber circuits for switching power converters are disclosed. An example power converter has a snubbing circuit. The snubber circuit comprises a bypass capacitor connecting an input node of the power converter to a ground node of the power converter, a decoupling capacitor that connects the input node of the power converter to a snubber node, and a snubbing resistor that connects the snubber node to the ground node. The snubbing resistor connects the decoupling capacitor to the ground node of the power converter. The snubbing resistor is greater than 1 ohm. The decoupling capacitor is greater than 5 nanofarads and less than 0.5 microfarads. The bypass capacitor is greater than 1 microfarads.

Abstract: A method for mask process correction or forming a pattern on a reticle using charged particle beam lithography is disclosed, where the reticle is to be used in an optical lithographic process to form a pattern on a wafer, where sensitivity of the wafer pattern is calculated with respect to changes in dimension of the reticle pattern, and where pattern exposure information is modified to increase edge slope of the reticle pattern where sensitivity of the wafer pattern is high. A method for fracturing or mask data preparation is also disclosed, where pattern exposure information is determined that can form a pattern on a reticle using charged particle beam lithography, where the reticle is to be used in an optical lithographic process to form a pattern on a wafer, and where sensitivity of the wafer pattern is calculated with respect to changes in dimension of the reticle pattern.

Abstract: A processing reactor includes a microwave energy source and a field-enhancing waveguide. The field-enhancing waveguide has a field-enhancing zone between a first cross-sectional area and a second cross-sectional area of the waveguide, and also has a plasma zone and a reaction zone. The second cross-sectional area is smaller than the first cross-sectional area, is farther away from the microwave energy source than the first cross-sectional area, and extends along a reaction length of the field-enhancing waveguide. The supply gas inlet is upstream of the reaction zone. In the reaction zone, a majority of the supply gas flow is parallel to the direction of the microwave energy propagation. A supply gas is used to generate a plasma in the plasma zone to convert a process input material into separated components in the reaction zone at a pressure of at least 0.1 atmosphere.

Abstract: A toy apparatus includes a base piece configured to slide on a surface when an initial pushing force is applied to the toy. A base elongated member is coupled to the base piece, and has a distal end away from the base piece. A movable elongated member has a first end and a second end, and is movable between an open first position and a closed second position. A tether is coupled to the first end of the movable elongated member, wherein tension applied to the tether moves the movable elongated member. Abstract: Light emitting semiconductor junctions are disclosed. An exemplary light emitting junction has a first electrical contact coupled to a first side of the junction. The exemplary junction also has a second electrical contact coupled to a second side of the junction. The exemplary junction also has a region of set straining material that exerts a strain on the junction and alters both: (i) an optical polarization, and (ii) an emission wavelength of the junction. The region of set straining material is not on a current path between said first electrical contact and said second electrical contact. The region of set straining material covers a third side and a fourth side of the light emitting junction along a cross section of the light emitting junction. The light emitting semiconductor junction device comprises a three-five alloy.
