    摘要: A wide-bore capillary electrophoresis apparatus for the analysis of analyte ions is provided. The apparatus has a wide-bore capillary that has a restriction zone at one or more ends. The capillary has an inlet end and an outlet end and an opening at each of said ends. The restriction zone is capable of providing fluid communication between the wide bore and the opening at said end. The restriction zone includes a narrow bore extending to the opening and a transition zone providing gradual change of bore diameter from the wide bore to the narrow bore. The apparatus further has a buffer source to supply buffer to the inlet end of the capillary and a power supply for supplying power to drive buffer and analyte ions through the capillary. During CE, electrodes provide electrical communication between the power supply and the inlet end and the outlet end and apply a voltage differential between said ends.

The ion source comprises a capillary tip and counter-electrode interface and a feedback loop control device connected to the capillary tip and counter-electrode interface. The feedback loop control device comprises a transimpedance amplifier, a DC de-coupler, a frequency to voltage converter, a controller, and a voltage-controlled high-voltage power supply that provides a tip to counter-electrode voltage to the capillary tip and counter-electrode interface. The feedback loop control device measures the modulation frequency of ionization currents and provides a feedback adjustment of the tip-to-counter-electrode voltage to maintain ionization efficiency.

    摘要: A behavioral targeting system determines user profiles from online activity. The system includes a plurality of models that define parameters for determining a user profile score. Event information, which comprises on-line activity of the user, is received at an entity. To generate a user profile score, a model is selected. The model comprises recency, intensity and frequency dimension parameters. The behavioral targeting system generates a user profile score for a target objective, such as brand advertising or direct response advertising. The parameters from the model are applied to generate the user profile score in a category. The behavioral targeting system has application for use in ad serving to on-line users.

The features are associated with differing fluid dwell times. The means for effecting fluid flow cooperates with the fluid-transporting features to merge fluids from the fluid-transporting features in a manner effective to produce an output stream from the common outlet that exhibits at least one desired characteristic generated as a result of the differing dwell times.     摘要: The present invention relates to a microfluidic device for separating the components of a fluid sample. A cover plate is arranged over the first surface of a substrate, which, in combination with a microchannel formed in the first surface, defines a separation conduit for separating the components of the fluid sample. An inlet port in fluid communication with the separation conduit allows a mobile phase containing a gradient of a selected mobile-phase component to be introduced from an integrated gradient-generation means to the separation conduit. A method is also provided for separating the components of a fluid sample using a mobile phase containing a gradient of a selected mobile-phase component, wherein the gradient is generated within a small volume of mobile phase.
