The method may include (a) providing lead frames which include a cathode terminal and an anode terminal, (b) forming a reflector which surrounds the lead frames, such that portions of the cathode terminal and anode terminal protrude from both sides, and which includes a groove open in the upward direction and a wall surrounding the groove, (c) die-attaching an LED chip onto the lead frames inside the groove, (d) bonding the LED chip to the cathode terminal or to the anode terminal with a conductive wire, (e) dispensing a liquid curable resin into the groove to form a lens part and (D sawing the walls facing each other using a sawing machine such that the thicknesses at the upper surfaces are about 0.04 mm to about 0.05 mm.
Abstract:
An objective lens driving apparatus used with an optical pickup includes a base, a holder provided on the base, a blade on which an objective lens is mounted, an elastic support body elastically supporting the blade and which is capable of moving with respect to the holder, a pair of magnetic members installed on the base to face each other, and a coil assembly including a focus coil, a tracking coil, and a tilt coil, the coil assembly being installed at the blade so as to be disposed between the magnetic members. Thus, coils needed to change the position of an objective lens are incorporated into a single coil assembly and are arranged between a pair of magnets, and an installation space is small so that the apparatus can be made compact.
Abstract:
An optical pickup, including a light source, an objective lens to focus light emitted from the light source to form a light spot on an optical information storage medium, an optical path changer to change an optical path of the light, a photodetector to receive light reflected/diffracted by the optical information storage medium and to detect an information signal and/or an error signal, and an optical element preventing part disposed in a central region of the light, to prevent a part of the central region of the light, which is reflected/diffracted by the optical information storage medium and which propagates toward the photodetector, from being received by the photodetector.
Abstract:
An optical pickup actuator for use with a recording medium includes a swing arm pivoting in a tracking direction with respect to the recording medium, a first driving unit pivoting the swing arm, an optical pickup facing the recording medium, an elastic member having one end fixed to the swing arm and a free end portion elastically deformable in a focus direction with respect to the recording medium, wherein the optical pickup is coupled to the free end portion of the elastic member, and a second driving unit deforming and driving the elastic member.
Abstract:
An objective lens driving apparatus for an optical pickup includes a blade on which an objective lens can be mounted, a plurality of elastic support members supporting the blade and capable of elastically moving with respect to the blade, and a servo mechanism driving the blade up and down, left and right, and in a rotational direction. The elastic support members are grouped into pairs arranged to face each other with respect to a center of rotation of the blade, and distances between the elastic support members in the respective pairs are substantially identical. By lessening the difference in the amount of deformation between the elastic support members supporting the blade during tilt control, the elastic support members are less likely to move in undesired directions when vibration is applied.
Abstract:
An optical pickup and driving method for an optical disk drive holding an optical disk includes a base, an object lens, and a slider supporting the object lens, where the object lens focuses a light on a recording surface of the optical disk. An optical head section includes the slider, where an air bearing floats the slider generated between the optical head section and the optical disk. Wire suspensions movably support the optical head section with respect to the base. A driving unit drives the optical head section in a tracking direction and a focusing direction. A latching unit selectively securely positions the optical head section at a predetermined distance away from the optical disk preventing the optical head section from colliding with the optical disk.
Abstract:
A generating device of a phase current instruction value for an A.C. servomotor and the generating method thereof, drives a synchronous A.C. servomotor. A sine wave, namely, a phase current instruction value for commutation of the A.C. servomotor driver can be generated by receiving as an interrupt the detection signal of a commutation sensor which detects the reverse electromotive force of the a motor at the microprocessor. The pulse position of the present since wave is.The pulse position of present sine wave is determined by the interrupt signal of the microprocessor. The motor is driven and controlled by converting by way of a D-A converter to an analog signal the data for generating a sine wave according to the increase or decrease of an encoder pulse.
