摘要: A non-aqueous rechargeable battery includes an electrode body, a non-aqueous electrolyte solution, and a battery case. The electrode body includes a negative electrode plate, a positive electrode plate, and a separator arranged between the negative and positive electrode plates. The battery case accommodates the electrode body and the non-aqueous electrolyte solution. The positive electrode plate includes a positive electrode substrate and a positive electrode mixture layer arranged on the positive electrode substrate. The positive electrode mixture layer is formed by applying a positive electrode mixture paste, containing at least a positive electrode active material and an organic solvent, to the positive electrode substrate and drying the positive electrode mixture paste so that the organic solvent remains in the positive electrode mixture layer. The non-aqueous rechargeable battery is charged in a state in which the electrode body and the non-aqueous electrolyte solution are accommodated in the battery case.

摘要: A battery pack includes battery cells and a spacer arranged between two adjacent battery cells. Each battery cell includes an electrode body and a case. The electrode body includes an upper curved portion, a flat portion, and a lower curved portion. The spacer presses one side wall of the case of one of the adjacent battery cells toward an inner side of the case at a part where the side wall opposes a region from the upper curved portion to the lower curved portion. The spacer forms passages for cooling air between the spacer and the side wall. A first cooling efficiency of the cooling air per unit area at a first opposing portion of the side wall that opposes the upper curved portion is less than a second cooling efficiency per unit area at a second opposing portion of the side wall that opposes the flat portion.

摘要: A method for manufacturing slurry for an insulation protective layer of a rechargeable battery includes obtaining an insulation material calibration curve showing a relationship between particle size and compressibility of an insulation material using sets of particle size and compressibility of the insulation material, obtaining a binder calibration curve showing a relationship between particle size and compressibility of a binder using sets of particle size and compressibility of the binder, measuring particle sizes of the insulation material and the binder loaded, determining an optimal mixture weight ratio with reference to the curves so that compressibility of mixture powder of the insulation material and the binder equals a set compressibility based on the measured particle sizes, mixing the insulation material and the binder at the determined mixture weight ratio to form mixture powder, loading the mixture powder into a powder dispenser, and adding a solvent to the mixture powder.

摘要: In a secondary battery, a lid member and a negative terminal are integrated through a resin. The negative terminal includes a first member and a second member. A first bonded surface of a lower surface of the first member is bonded to a second bonded surface of an upper surface of the second member. The first member includes a projecting portion at an outer peripheral edge of the lower surface of the first member. The second member includes a chamfered portion at an outer peripheral edge of the upper surface of the second member. The projecting portion and the chamfered portion are combined with each other so that the projecting portion contacts the chamfered portion.

The state estimation unit estimates the battery state of the battery assembly based on the battery information of each rechargeable battery, uses the estimated battery states of the battery assembly as a state variable, and applies an optimum filter for performing optimization based on a distribution of a plurality of sample points to a state equation and an output equation included in the battery model to calculate a gain for correcting the state variable.

The method includes measuring a remaining charge of each of a plurality of battery units obtained by dismantling an assembled battery having a usage history. The method further includes selecting from the battery units a battery unit in which the measured remaining charge is greater than or equal to a remaining charge lower limit value, which is set in a range that is greater than zero and less than a lower limit value of a remaining charge control range of a vehicle in which the assembled battery was installed, and assembling a new assembled battery using the selected battery unit.

摘要: A laser welding device that laser-welds a lid to an open portion of a casing emits a laser beam to a joining subject portion including an inner side surface of the casing that defines the open portion and a peripheral surface of the lid that faces the inner side surface of the casing. The inner side surface of the casing and the peripheral surface of the lid are arranged to form a groove in between, and include inclined surfaces that function as a sliding portion. The groove portion has a groove width that is variable by sliding the sliding portion. A detection unit detects the groove width of the groove portion. An adjustment force application unit applies force for adjusting the groove width to the casing. A control unit controls the force applied by the adjustment force application unit in accordance with the groove width detected by the detection unit.
