Abstract:
Technology for allocating a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) to reduce a number of PDCCH candidates in a search space for carrier aggregation on a user equipment (UE) is disclosed. The UE is configured with a carrier information field (CIF) having a communications processor to determine physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) assignments of a cellular communication system. The communication processor can monitor in a cell a set of PDCCH candidates defined in a search space Sk(L) at an aggregation level Lε{1,2,4,8} for a subframe (k) which includes a set of control channel elements (CCEs) and to decode a PDCCH of the set of PDCCH candidates according to downlink control information (DCI).
Abstract:
Aspects of mmWave beam tracking and beam sweeping are described, for example, spatial searching operations, directional beam forming, complex channel measurement operations, and adaptive power savings. Some aspects include using priori information for mmWave beam tracking and beam sweeping. Some aspects include using priori information to modify a superset of beam criteria to obtain a subset of beam criteria, select a spatial region according to the subset of beam criteria, and initiate a spatial searching operation within the spatial region for establishing a communication link. Some aspects include obtaining complex channel measurements of beams and combining the measurements with priori information to determine a beam for use in a communication link. Some aspects include providing signals from Nr over K1 input/output (IO) links and receiving signals over K1 IO links, and combining signals received over the K1 IO links, using a compression matrix, to generate signals over K IO links.
Abstract:
A communication device and a method for determining an information from a second device including setting an initial beamforming pattern is provided. The initial beamforming pattern includes a beamforming direction and a corresponding beamforming area for each of the plurality of antenna ports, including determining a concerned direction interval based on overlapping beamforming areas of adjacent pairs of the plurality of antenna ports, receiving a signal from the second device, measuring a signal gain from the signal on each of the plurality of antenna ports, determining which concerned direction interval the second device occupies based on an antenna port having the highest signal gain and on one of the adjacent pair of antenna ports to the antenna port having the highest signal gain having a higher signal gain, and determining the information from the second device based on the determined concerned direction interval.

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to an sending request message based on received announcements system. A device may identify a transmitter announcement received from a first device. The device may identify a receiver announcement received from a second device. The device may cause to send a request message to transmit to a third device based at least in part on a predetermined threshold associated with the receiver announcement. The device may identify an indication that the third device is able to receive one or more packets from the device. The device may cause to send the one or more packets to the third device.

The UE can decode a PDCCH of the set of PDCCH candidates according to a downlink control information (DCI) format.
Abstract:
Apparatus, systems, and methods to identify victims and aggressors of interference in full duplex communication systems are described. In one example, a controller comprises logic to detect a quality of service issue in a wireless communication downlink with a first user equipment in a first cell and in response to detecting the quality of service issue, determine whether the user equipment is a victim of interference from a second user equipment or is a victim of interference from a downlink with a second user equipment in a second cell. Other examples are also disclosed and claimed.
Abstract:
An apparatus may include a radio frequency (RF) transceiver to receive a first message over a first carrier in a first band in a downlink sub-frame of a first radio frame in a communications link, where the communications link comprises interband carriers aggregated over primary and secondary cells. The apparatus may also include a processor and a reply message assignment module operable on the processor to determine a downlink sub-frame in which the downlink transmission is received and to adjust timing of a reply/acknowledge message to be sent by the RF transceiver in response to the first message so as to coincide with a predetermined uplink sub-frame of a radio frame. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract:
In a communication method to communicate between an access point (AP) and first and second communication stations (STAs) can include calculating joint transmission information based on the first and the second STAs, establishing an uplink communication between the AP and the first STA; and establishing a downlink communication between the AP and the second STA jointly with the uplink communication between the AP and the first STA based on the joint transmission information.

Abstract:
An apparatus and method for flexible adjustment of the uplink-downlink ratio configuration for each enhanced node B (eNodeB) within a wireless communications network is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a given eNodeB is configured to determine a current or subsequent uplink-downlink ratio configuration for a pre-determined time period. The determined current or subsequent uplink-downlink ratio configuration is encoded into a special physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), the special PDCCH included in at least one radio frame according to the pre-determined time period. The radio frame including the special PDCCH is transmitted to user equipment served by the given eNodeB.
