Abstract: A feeding device for independently feeding, by a preparatory device, a binder strip and flap strips to a garment held by a base presses. There are eight types of combination in feeding fashions, whether or not the binder strip is to be fed, whether or not one flap strip is to be fed, and whether or not another flap strip is to be fed (2.sup.3 =8). Various feeding fashions are provisionally set in order prior to actual sewing, and control means controls actual operations of the preparatory device in accordance with the feeding fashions and every feeding fashions.

Abstract: An example according to one embodiment includes a first coil and a second coil spaced apart therefrom. The system is supplied with power from a primary-side circuit to a secondary-side circuit and vice versa. The primary-side circuit includes the first coil. The secondary-side circuit includes the second coil. The primary-side circuit connects to a first converter that converts direct current into alternating current and vice versa. The first converter connects to second converter that converts direct current into alternating current and vice versa, and the second converter further connects to a commercial power supply. The secondary-side circuit connects to third converter that converts direct current into alternating current and vice versa, and the third converter further connects to direct current power supply of a moving body. Bidirectional power transfer is performed only by a switching operation of the first converter, the second converter, and the third converter.

Moreover, the illumination optical system illuminates the inspecting object with another slit beam from a direction opposite to an incident direction of the slit beam on a plane.

Abstract: The present invention provides a high-performance storage access environment to a user who moves around a wide area, while increasing the fault resistance of the system. A plurality of network storages (volumes) is assigned to the user. Then, at the occasion of logging in to a volume by the user, the volume that can be accessed with high performance from a position he made access is located. Addresses at a computer with which user makes access are associated with addresses of the volumes provided by a storage device in advance in an assigned volume management table so as to increase access performance. Then, a management server performs control so that the address of the volume associated with the user access position is returned as a response, at the time of logging in.

Abstract: A streak tube sweeping method in which a synchronization scan sweeping signal of a fixed repetition frequency is applied to vertical deflection plates in a streak tube, causing an electron beam, generated when a light to be measured is introduced to a photocathode in the streak tube, to sweep at the fixed repetition frequency across a phosphor screen in a first direction. At predetermined intervals that are multiples of the synchronization scan sweeping signal period, a horizontal blanking signal is applied to horizontal deflection plates in the streak tube, causing the electron beam to sweep a streak once every pulse across an output effective area of the phosphor screen. Hence, information of emitted light can be accurately measured even if the life of the light to be measured is longer than the period of the synchronization scan sweeping signal (or the period of the light pulse output from a laser light source, which is the source of the sweeping signal).
