The method for detecting frame sync and frame structure includes the steps of: calculating differential correlation values of reception symbols; generating index sequences of reception symbols whose differential correlation values calculated above exceed a threshold value; calculating positions estimated as frame start points which correspond to a total frame number based on the number of symbols per frame for each frame structure; and detecting frame sync and frame structure based on the umber of positions where the above-calculated frame start point estimated positions and the above-generated index sequences are matched.

Abstract: A video encoding method and a computer-readable record media for performing the method are disclosed, in which in carrying out the video encoding, an intra updating technique is adopted by sorting out the blocks requiring an intra updating by utilizing the bit stream size information for each block, thereby maximizing the intra updating effect. The video encoding method includes the following steps. That is, at a first step, an encoding method for each frame of incoming images is selected, and the images are divided into blocks of a certain size. At a second step, either an intra coded block encoding or an inter coded block encoding is carried out depending on whether an encoding of a current frame and an inter coded encoding are needed or not, and whether an intra coded block is relevant or not. Further, blocks requiring an intra updating are sorted out by utilizing a bit stream size information for each block if the inter coded encoding is needed. At a third step, the first and second steps are repeatedly carried out to the last frame.

Abstract: A video bit rate control method. SUBGOPs are defined as sets of two to four frames in a GOP. For example, if the GOP comprises IBBPBBPBBPBB frames, each of the SUBGOPs is defined as a set of the IBBP or BBP frames. Before bit assignment is performed with respect to frames to be coded, it is checked whether a scene change is present with respect to frames in successive ones of the SUBGOPs. If it is checked that the scene change is not present, a bit rate is controlled in a conventional manner. In the case where the scene change is present, a smaller bits than that in the conventional manner is assigned to frames with no scene change and a relatively large bit amount is assigned to a frame with the scene change. Therefore, according to the present invention, the video bit rate control method has the effect of preventing a degradation in a picture quality due to the scene change.

Abstract: A method for controlling an overload of distributed processors of a full electronic switching system, capable of automatically calculating the number of calls to be accepted for a current interval by use of the number of calls accepted for a previous interval and the number of standby processes of a call processing program so that only the number of calls corresponding to the number of services calculated is acceptable, thereby maintaining a stable service condition for an overload control interval, and capable of realizing a priority control depending on the type of call. The method includes the first step of executing a call processing delay monitoring process loaded in an access switching processor by a priority not higher than a call processing process, but higher than an operation and maintenance process, thereby monitoring an execution condition of the call processing process, the second step of executing an overload control process by a priority higher than the call processing process, thereby determining and controlling an overload occurring in the processor, and the third step of repeating a process for changing a CPU reference value infinite times when a demand for a change of the CPU reference value is generated from an operator after the call processing delay monitoring process and the overload control process have started.
