Abstract: A polymerisable radiation-curable composition comprising:
(i) monomers, comprising at least (a) a first monomer having a TG (glass-transition point) of the homopolymer of said first monomer ≥120° C. and at least (b) a second monomer having a TG (glass-transition point) of the homopolymer of the second monomer ≤100° C., wherein at least one of the at least one first monomer or of the at least one second monomer has an alicyclic group, and
comprising (ii) at least one further component, comprising at least one photo-initiator for the UV and/or Vis spectral region or a photo-initiator system for the UV and/or Vis spectral region. Also disclosed is a blank in the form of a three-dimensional moulded body of a polymerised composition, in particular radiation-cured composition, for producing 3D moulded bodies, dental prosthetic parts, orthopaedic appliances or dental pre-forms in a rapid prototyping, rapid manufacturing, or rapid tooling method.-

Abstract: Disclosed are a green synthesis method of an antibacterial super-porous hydrogel, a product of the antibacterial super-porous hydrogel and an application of the antibacterial super-porous hydrogel to degradation of various pollutants in wastewater treatment. The super-porous hydrogel based on poly (ionic liquid) is prepared by copolymerization of an imidazole type ionic liquid with double bonds and polyethylene glycol diacrylate (PEGDA) as a cross-linker. In the reaction system, water is a good solvent for the monomer ionic liquid and PEGDA, but a poor solvent for the poly (ionic liquid); when an initial concentration of the ionic liquid is higher than 25%, the phase separation typically proceeds through poly(ionic liquid) formation, interconnected networks with macroporous structure could be obtained by photo-crosslinking.

Abstract: A nonlimiting example method of forming highly spherical carbon nanomaterial-graft-polyolefin (CNM-g-polyolefin) particles may comprising: mixing a mixture comprising: (a) a CNM-g-polyolefin comprising a polyolefin grafted to a carbon nanomaterial, (b) a carrier fluid that is immiscible with the polyolefin of the CNM-g-polyolefin, optionally (c) a thermoplastic polymer not grafted to a CNM, and optionally (d) an emulsion stabilizer at a temperature greater than a melting point or softening temperature of the polyolefin of the CNM-g-polyolefin and the thermoplastic polymer, when included, and at a shear rate sufficiently high to disperse the CNM-g-polyolefin in the carrier fluid; cooling the mixture to below the melting point or softening temperature to form the CNM-g-polyolefin particles; and separating the CNM-g-polyolefin particles from the carrier fluid.

Abstract: The present invention relates to articles comprising crosslinked polymer network comprising thioether crosslinks and process of making and using same. Such thiol-ene crosslinking reactions not only make the isocyanate crosslinking reaction unnecessary, but they also improve the article's strength due to chemical crosslinking between the article's resin layers, and reduce or eliminate post curing. Thus resulting in a sufficiently cured article in a much shorter time.

Abstract: Liquid radiation curable compositions are disclosed which are suitable for hybrid (i.e. cationic and free-radical) polymerization when processed via additive fabrication equipment utilizing sources of actinic radiation with peak spectral intensities in the UV/vis region. According to one aspect, the compositions possess a first photoinitiator that is an iodonium salt of a non-fluorinated borate anion. According to another aspect, the composition is substantially devoid of a Norrish Type I and/or Type II photoinitiator. Also disclosed are methods of creating three-dimensional parts via additive fabrication processes utilizing sources of actinic radiation with peak spectral intensities in the UV/vis region employing liquid radiation curable compositions suitable for hybrid polymerization, and the parts cured therefrom.

Abstract: Matrix-filled liquid radiation curable resin compositions for additive fabrication are described and claimed. Such resins include a cationically polymerizable component that is an aliphatic epoxide, a multifunctional (meth)acrylate component, a cationic photoinitiator, a free-radical photoinitiator, and a matrix of inorganic fillers, wherein the matrix further constitutes prescribed ratios of at least one microparticle constituent and at least one nanoparticle constituent. Also described and claimed is a process for using the matrix-filled liquid radiation curable resins for additive fabrication to create three dimensional parts, and the three-dimensional parts made from the liquid radiation curable resins for additive fabrication.

When the resin composition is cured with an ultraviolet light and loaded a shear force of about 2,000 Pa, the difference between the shear strain of the cured resin composition about 5 seconds after the loading and a shear strain of the cured resin composition about 300 seconds after the loading is less than about 5% A shear strain of the cured resin composition about 30 seconds after the shear force is removed from the cured resin composition is less than about 2%.
