    Abstract: A power transmitting apparatus for transmitting or cutting-off the rotational driving power inputted to an input member to or from an output member by press-contacting or releasing the press-contacting force between driving-side clutch discs and driven-side clutch discs, wherein the power transmitting apparatus comprises interlocking members (e.g., a first member and second member) interlocking with the motion of the weight members from their radially inward positions to radially outward positions and movable toward a direction approaching to the pressure member; and elastic members interposed between the interlocking members and the pressure member and able to move the pressure member toward a direction for press-contacting the driving-side clutch discs and the driven-side clutch discs by urging the pressure member according to the movement of the interlocking members and also able to absorb the urging force of the pressure member applied to interlocking members when the actuating member is operated.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing an integrated member and an integrated member manufactured by the method which can improve the joining strength and reduce the manufacturing cost. A method for manufacturing an integrated member by welding a first member formed of aluminum alloy material and a second member formed of ferrous-based material characterized in that the first member contains a predetermined amount of silicon and has a thickness larger than that of the second member. The second member can be pressed against the first member along the thickness direction, and by electrically energizing the pressed-in portion during the pressing period, electric resistance welding can be used. The pressing-in amount is set to a value larger than the thickness of the second member and less than that of the first member. The overlapping margin of the first and second members is set to a value of 0.5 mm or more.

    Abstract: A multiple disc clutch apparatus configured to reduce the drag torque, the sticking torque, and simultaneously the weight of the multiple disc clutch apparatus. The apparatus can comprise substantially annular multiple clutch discs connected to an input-side from an engine; substantially annular multiple clutch plates alternately laminated with the clutch discs and connected to an output-side to a wheel; and frictional members secured on surfaces of the clutch discs opposing the clutch plates and adapted to press-contact with or separate from the clutch plates. A power from the engine can be transmitted to the wheel when the clutch discs and plates are press-contacted with each other; the power transmission being blocked by releasing the press-contacting force; wherein depressions are formed on each clutch plate along its periphery and radially inward therefrom; and wherein a part of the one or more frictional members is positioned within a region of the depressions.

    Abstract: A power transmitting apparatus which can suppress the rotational vibrations by suppressing rotation of the pressure member relative to the clutch member is provided. The power transmitting apparatus can comprise a clutch housing rotatable together with an input member and a plurality of driving-side clutch discs mounted thereon; a clutch member with a plurality of driven-side clutch discs mounted thereon and interleaved with the driving-side clutch discs; and a pressure member axially movably relative to the clutch member to increase or release the press-contacting force acting on the driving-side clutch discs and the driven-side clutch discs. The power transmitting apparatus can further comprise one or more slide-suppressing members for applying sliding resistance to the pressure member when the pressure member is rotated relative to the clutch member.
