The present invention provides a method for licensing of a hardware component connected to a real time data processing system, comprising, the steps of providing a software component enabling the use of the hardware component with the real time data processing system, which is executable on the real time data processing system, verifying a license for the hardware component in the software component, and activating the hardware component to make it usable to the real time data processing system upon successful verification of the license for the hardware component in the software component. The present invention also provides a real time data processing system connected to at least one HW component subject to licensing, whereby the real time data processing system is adapted to perform the above method.

A RC power semiconductor is provided which comprises a plurality of diode cells and a plurality of GCT cells. Each GCT cell comprises a first cathode layer with at least three cathode layer regions, which are separated from each other by a base layer. In orthogonal projection onto a plane parallel to the first main side each one of the cathode layer regions is strip-shaped and a width (w, w′), wherein the diode cells alternate with the GCT cells in a lateral direction in at least a mixed part, wherein in each GCT cell, the width (w′) of each one of the two outer cathode layer regions next to a diode cell neighbouring to that GCT cell is less than the width (w) of any intermediate cathode layer region between the two outer cathode layer regions in that GCT cell.
Abstract:
A robot has a gripper for gripping parts and releasing the gripped part at a destination position. The gripped part is vibrated at the destination position to cause the gripper to release the gripped part. The gripped part can be directly vibrated or vibrated by vibrating the mechanical structure of the gripper or by vibrating air in the gripper mechanical structure. The vibrator can connect the gripper to the robot. The vibrator can be inside or attached to the one or more of the articulated fingers of the gripper. The vibrations can be stopped when a sensor detects that the gripped part has been released or after the passage of a preset vibration time.

A connecting apparatus for mounting on a vehicle or charging station, providing an electrical connection between the station and vehicle for charging an storage device of the vehicle, comprising: a contacting head for transferring electrical energy; at least one alignment device for coupling the contacting head to a receiver; a detector configured to determine a position of the receiver; and a control unit for aligning the contacting head and receiver; and wherein the alignment device includes a horizontal positioner; a pivoter for pivoting a contacting post carrying the contacting head from a parking position to a substantially vertical position; and a vertical positioner for telescoping the contacting post to adapt its length. The horizontal and vertical positioners, and pivoter performing an alignment movement independent from the others.

An assembly includes a cabinet having an interior and a door to gain access to the interior. An intelligent electronic device (IED) is within the interior of the cabinet and includes inputs providing electrical connections to the IED, pushbuttons to provide user input to the IED, a display module including a display, a component, and a timer circuit. The timer circuit powers the component OFF or places it in a reduced power state when not in use after a certain amount of time. A switch is associated with the door and is electrically connected to at least one of the inputs so that when the display module is powered OFF or in the reduced power state and when the door is opened, the switch causes a signal to be sent to the timer circuit to cause the timer circuit to power the component fully ON.

The body includes an interior surface, an exterior surface, and a fin extending between the interior surface and the exterior surface. The body defines a fin opening adjacent the fin. The fin opening extends between the interior surface and the exterior surface. The interior surface defines a substantially hollow interior. A body opening is located at the first end in fluid communication with the interior. Air flows through the body opening, into the interior, and from the interior out through the fin opening to reduce a temperature of the contact arm.

Abstract:
The invention supports and promotes testing of Substation Automation (SA) functions involving intermediary Logical Nodes (LN) in SA systems of operating substations, specifically with minimized impact on the substation and/or the SA system and without having to completely deactivate or isolate entire parts of the substation. A test is set up by defining at least one input LN where the test scenario input signals will be applied, and by determining output LNs where expected output values shall be observed. Based on the data flow between LNs as defined in the System Configuration Description (SCD) file a test preparing tool automatically determines all intermediary LNs logically arranged between these input and output LNs. The intermediary LNs and the IEDs that are affected by the function test are identified and subsequently marked for “test” or “simulation” mode.

The present disclosure describes a method and arrangement for damping a resonant component of a common-mode current of a multi-phase power converter comprising an output filter with a virtual ground connection to the power converter. In the method and arrangement, the common-mode current is determined, a feedback signal is formed on the basis of the common-mode current, and the feedback signal is injected into a common mode current reference in order to dampen the resonance frequency component. A delay is added to the feedback signal so that the feedback signal has a sufficient phase margin with respect to a subsequent cycle of the resonance frequency component of the common-mode current.
