摘要： A latex emulsion may include an aqueous carrier liquid and a latex copolymer formed from reactants comprising butyl methacrylate, wherein the reactants include at least 20 wt. % butyl methacrylate, based on the total weight of ethylenically unsaturated monomers used to make the latex copolymer. A coating formed from the latex emulsion exhibits a wet adhesion to a thermoplastic polyolefin roofing membrane of greater than about 1 pound per linear inch when tested using fabric embedded peel adhesion testing per ASTM C794. The latex emulsion may be used as part of an aqueous coating composition or a roofing system including a polymeric roofing membrane.

摘要： A method of forming a coating on a food or beverage container, which includes spraying a coating composition onto an interior surface of the food or beverage container, where the coating composition includes a latex copolymer and a metal drier or crosslinking agent. The latex copolymer is a reaction product of monomers that include (a) one or more styrene-mimicking monomers containing one or more cyclic groups and one or more ethylenically-unsaturated groups, at least a portion of such styrene-mimicking monomers being polycyclic monomers containing ring unsaturation, and (b) one or more other ethylenically-unsaturated monomers. Preferably, the coating composition is substantially free of each of BPA, PVC, other halogenated monomers, and optionally styrene. The method may also include curing the sprayed coating composition, thereby providing the coating on the interior surface of the food or beverage container.

摘要： Fluid concentrates, colorants and coating compositions contain solid pigment particles dispersed in a nonvolatilizing, reactive liquid diluent having a viscosity less than 1,000 cps and containing at least one molecular species having at least three reactive unsaturated sites. The reactive liquid diluent may serve as one or more of a dispersing medium for the solid pigment particles, a carrier, a coalescent and a humectant, and may crosslink or otherwise cure to form an interpenetrating polymer network in, or crosslink with, a pigmented coating composition containing a film-forming polymeric binder. Embodiments of the reactive liquid diluent can provide colorants and coating compositions having reduced levels of VOCs, conventional carriers, conventional dispersants, conventional coalescents and conventional humectants.

摘要： An icephobic coating composition forms a coating layer that melts ice and snow upon contract and remains durable after several exposures to winter storms. The icephobic coating composition includes about 2.5% to about 12.5% by weight of latex polymer solids; about 30% to about 70% by weight of an inorganic halide salt; about 15% to about 50% by weight water; and about 1% to about 15% by weight of an organic co-solvent selected from glycerin, glycols, and glycol ethers. An alternative icephobic coating composition includes about 1% to about 20% by weight of a solution polymer instead of a latex polymer, and about 10% to about 40% by weight of a VOC-exempt organic solvent instead of the foregoing water and co-solvent.

摘要： Provided is a container having a container body, a bail attached to the container body, and a flexible band attached to a rear of the container body. 摘要： A waterborne one-component coating composition capable of self-crosslinking and exhibiting a gloss and hardness improvement when cured that is similar to a solventborne two-component composition. The composition includes a urethane phase including a polyurethane polymer with at least polyester diol monomer units, polycarbonate diol monomer units, and ketone-functionalized diol monomer units. The composition may include an optional acrylic phase including an acrylic polymer having monomer units selected from one of alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer units, vinyl acetate monomer units, styrene monomer units, ketone-functional vinyl monomer units, or combinations thereof. The composition includes a hydrazine-functionalized crosslinking agent configured to crosslink one of the ketone-functionalized diol monomer units, the ketone-functional vinyl monomer units, or both. The composition further includes one or more tertiary amine reaction moderators or neutralizing agents.
