Abstract:
Microelectronic network devices and components are fabricated by binding or complexing at least one electronically functional substance to a molecular fiber, such as a nucleic acid fiber. The devices and components can be combined by interconnecting the complexed fibers to provide microelectronic circuits or networks. Assembly processes involve interactions of various combinations of the fibers and substances used in fabrication.

Abstract:
A spectrum manipulation device and method for increasing an energy conversion efficiency of a photovoltaic cell arrangement, the device including: (a) a black body adapted to absorb an input electromagnetic energy having an input energy flux spectrum, and to emit a first output electromagnetic energy having a different, output energy flux spectrum; (b) a transparent cover, adapted to thermally insulate the black body from an ambient environment, and to receive light and direct the light towards the black body; (c) an optical device, facing the black body, and adapted to: (i) receive the first output energy and emit a second output electromagnetic energy having a narrow, modified energy flux spectrum, with respect to the output energy flux spectrum, and (ii) recycle some of the first output electromagnetic energy to the black body; (d) a photovoltaic cell having a photon absorption surface, disposed to be in optical communication with the optical device, and (e) a housing containing the black body and the optical device, and adapted to thermally insulate the black body and to fix a position of the black body with respect to the optical device, the optical device further adapted to direct the second output energy towards the photon absorption surface.
Abstract:
A method for packet loss concealment, comprising: continuously receiving a digital audio stream; extracting audio features from the digital audio stream while the digital audio stream is unharmed; and upon detecting a gap in the digital audio stream, filling the gap with one or more previous segments of the digital audio stream, wherein said filling is based on a matching of the one or more of the extracted audio features with one or more audio features adjacent to the gap.
Abstract:
A method for image processing in video conferencing, for correcting the gaze of an interlocutor in an image or a sequence of images captured by at least one real camera, comprises the steps of the at least one real camera acquiring an original image of the interlocutor; synthesizing a corrected view of the interlocutor's face as seen by a virtual camera, the virtual camera being located on the interlocutor's line of sight and oriented towards the interlocutor; transferring the corrected view of the interlocutor's face from the synthesized view into the original image, thereby generating a final image; at least one of displaying the final image and transmitting the final image.
