Abstract: A reinforced concrete material is described comprising a cementitious material (22) in which graphene is substantially uniformly distributed. A method of production of concrete is also described comprising the steps of forming a substantially uniform suspension (20) of graphene with water, and mixing the suspension (20) with a cementitious material (22) to form a concrete material (28).

Abstract: A probe (10) comprising a body portion (70) and a tip portion (80). The body portion comprises: a first mounting portion (72) comprising a plurality of first carriers supporting elongate first waveguides, and disposed in an equiangular arrangement around a longitudinal axis (A) of the body portion; a body end fitting (74) at which first ends of the first waveguides are supported such that the first waveguides can transmit electromagnetic radiation signals from an energy source to the body end fitting and/or transmit electromagnetic radiation signals from the body end fitting to a receiver. The tip portion comprises: a second mounting portion (82) comprising a plurality of second carriers supporting elongate second waveguides, the second carriers being disposed in the equiangular arrangement around a longitudinal axis of the tip portion; and a tip end fitting (88) at which first ends of the second waveguides are supported in the equiangular arrangement around the longitudinal axis of the tip portion; and an elongate conduit (12) for piercing human tissue.

Abstract: There is provided a NetB epitope polypeptide comprising at least 10 contiguous amino acids from SEQ ID NO:1 and comprising a mutation in at least one position between amino acids 130 and 297 as compared with the equivalent position in SEQ ID NO:3, the mutation preferably being located within a rim domain, the polypeptide being capable of binding an antibody which binds to SEQ ID NO:1 and having reduced toxicity compared with the toxicity of SEQ ID NO:1. The polypeptide is useful to vaccinate a subject against infection by Clostridium perfringens.

Abstract: There is provided an epsilon toxin epitope polypeptide comprising a sequence of at least 10 contiguous amino acids from SEQ ID NO:3, the sequence comprising a mutation of at least one tyrosine residue compared to the equivalent sequence in SEQ ID NO:3, the polypeptide being capable of binding an antibody which binds to SEQ ID NO:5 and having reduced toxicity compared with the toxicity of SEQ ID NO:5. The polypeptide is useful in a method of vaccinating a subject against developing a disease caused by clostridium perfringens and/or caused by (or associated with the presence of) active epsilon toxin.
