摘要: An axle suspension includes a vehicular frame and first and second mounting fixtures mounted in spaced relation beneath the vehicular frame. First and second swing arms have first and second ends and are substantially parallel. The first ends are pivotally mounted to the first mounting fixture for vertical pivotal movement about a substantially horizontal first pivot axis. An axle is positioned on top of and perpendicular to the first swing arm and the second swing arm. The axle is mounted toward the second end of the first swing arm and the second swing arm by underlying resilient elastomer bushings wherein limited movement of the axle is accommodated about a substantially horizontal second pivot axis. Air spring suspension is positioned between the axle and the frame wherein pivotal movement in an upward direction about the first pivot axis is dampened.

摘要: A document feed component is presented comprising a foamed epichlorohydrin elastomer, a curing agent, and a blowing agent, wherein the document feed component has a dynamic coefficient of friction in the range of about 1.0 to about 3.0, a Shore O hardness in the range of about 2 to about 85, a compression set of less than about 12%, and a resistance to wear of less than about 0.05 g/hr. The elastomer optionally further includes activators, polymerization accelerators, and a filler material. An important feature of the present invention is that the use of a foamed epichlorohydrin elastomer does not require the use of processing aids and migratory additives. Consequently, the document feed component has the advantage of not contaminating paper or other media with which they come into contact, even for extended periods of time, while maintaining other advantageous properties, such as a high dynamic coefficient of friction, low hardness, low % compression set, and excellent resistance to ultraviolet light and ozone. The document feed component may be shaped as a roller, wheel, belt, pad or the like.

摘要: An aerial enclosure for a terminal block and method for installing the terminal block and a cable connected thereto within the enclosure. The enclosure includes a housing that defines an interior region adapted to contain the terminal block. The housing has an open front face and includes a rear wall, and a number of side walls that border the interior region. A cover is connected to the housing and is moveable to either cover or expose the interior region. One side wall of the housing includes a terminal block opening sized to permit insertion therethrough of the terminal block and cable. An entrance cap is adapted to cover the terminal block opening and defines a through passage sized to permit the cable to extend through the through passage. During manufacture, the entrance cap can be installed onto the cable before or after the cable is connected to the terminal block. The entrance cap is attached to the enclosure so that the terminal block opening is covered by the entrance cap.

摘要: The present invention provides for an apparatus and a method for housing an integrated circuit device. The integrated circuit device is coupled to a ceramic substrate wherein contacts of the integrated circuit device mate with contacts on the substrate surface. Conductive lines then couple the contacts to the peripheral edges of the substrate where one set of ends of a lead frame assembly mates with the conductors. An encapsulation technique is used to encapsulate the device, such that only the other set of ends of the lead frame assembly extends from the package. In an alternative embodiment, the integrated circuit is hermetically sealed by having a hermetic cover disposed over the integrated circuit. In a second alternative embodiment, the substrate is capable of having disposed upon it multiple integrated circuits. The present invention provides for a significant increase of lead count to die size ratio.

摘要: A connector (10) terminates an optical cable (30) and includes a cylindrical ferrule (140) installed in a plastic base member (150) to form a fiber-holding structure. This structure includes a small passageway along its central axis for holding an optical fiber, and is mounted within a housing (110) that includes a cable-entrance end for receiving the optical cable and a plug end for insertion into a jack receptacle (40). The housing includes a cantilever latch (120) that is mounted on a side surface of the housing and is used to secure the connector to the receptacle. The fixed end (125) of the cantilever latch is positioned toward the plug end of the connector, and the free end (124) of the cantilever latch extends toward the cable-entrance end of the connector. The housing further includes a cantilever trigger (130) which slidably engages the latch to move it downward and thereby release the connector from the receptacle. The fixed end (135) of the trigger is positioned toward the cable-entrance end of the connector and the free end (134) of the cantilever trigger extends toward the plug end of the connector. The trigger forms an acute angle (.beta.) with the central axis (101) of the housing that points in a direction away from the plug end of the connector toward the cable-entrance end so that when the cable is pulled backward through a concentrated area of cables and wires, the trigger prevents the latch from snagging. The novel anti-snagging feature is also incorporated into an RJ-type electrical connector (800).

摘要: A method and apparatus of activating electric wireline firing systems in which a firing pin is restrained against movement toward a detonator until application of sufficient voltage to the apparatus. The firing pin is not permitted to move immediately upon application of voltage to the apparatus thereby providing a period during which voltage may be interrupted to prevent detonation of the system. The requisite voltage which must be applied to the apparatus is relatively high thereby ensuring against premature detonation of the system due to high radio frequencies, stray voltages or other electrical influences.
