摘要： An external cavity laser apparatus and method wherein wavelength or channel selection is carried independently from adjustment of external cavity optical path length. The apparatus comprises a wavelength or channel selector tuner and an external cavity tuner, wherein the wavelength tuner is uncoupled from the external cavity tuner. The tuning mechanisms for wavelength selection and cavity optical path length are configured to operate independently or orthogonally with respect to each other. The wavelength tuner may operate according to a first, channel selection signal, while the external cavity tuner operates according to a second, external cavity adjustment signal. The wavelength tuner and external cavity tuner may operate under the control of the same, or of separate controllers. The channel selection signal may be derived from a look-up table of adjustment parameter data accessed by a controller, and the external cavity adjustment signal may be derived from an error signal from a detector configured to measure external cavity loss.

摘要： The present invention discloses a novel candle body composition for colored flame candles, which can be directly press-molded or provided in any containers in a form of bulk materials and combined with a candle combustion wick to form a colored flame candle. The candle body composition according to the present invention is also suitable for DIY articles. Compared with conventional solid colored flame candles, the colored flame candle according to the present invention can be manufactured in a simple manner, with the heat shaping step being dispensed with and the problem of environmental pollution being largely avoided. Furthermore, the colored flame candle according to the present invention has a good ignition property, a pure and sharp flame and a high retention of flame, and is an environmentally friendly product.

The present invention is also directed to detection of abnormal levels of hypocretin in a subject, as well as detection of an abnormal immune response against hypocretin (orexins) and/or their receptors, where detection of abnormal hypocretin levels or detection of an abnormal immune response is indicative of a sleep disorder, particularly of narcolepsy. The present invention is also directed to a methods relating to the detection of a mutation or polymorphism in the gene encoding the hypocretin receptors, the detection of antibodies disrupting the function of gene encoding hypocretin receptors and hypocretin polypeptides, and the use of hypocretin biological markers in predicting treatment response using compounds interacting with the hypocretin receptor system.

In order to simplify the layout of the wiring board of the data bus there is provided a method for connecting at least a first and a second integrated circuit by providing the first integrated circuit having a plurality of first logical I/O ports physically arranged in a first order at the periphery, and providing the second integrated circuit having a plurality of second logical I/O ports physically arranged in a second order at the periphery, wherein each first I/O port is to be connected to one of said second I/O ports. The first and second I/O logical ports are connected independently from the first and/or second physical order, so that connection lines do not cross each other.

The method comprises: providing a central core element comprising at least one concentrate exhaust conduit and at least one permeate exhaust conduit; disposing a first portion of a membrane stack assembly comprising a permeate carrier layer, a membrane layer, and a feed carrier layer within the central core element such that the concentrate exhaust conduit and permeate exhaust conduit are separated by the first portion of the membrane stack assembly; radially winding a second portion of the membrane stack assembly around the central core element; and sealing the wound assembly comprising two opposing end surfaces made of the membrane stack assembly by applying an adhesive on both end surfaces of the wound assembly; and applying a negative pressure inside the central core element so that the adhesive penetrates into the membrane stack assembly.

The method for implementing seeking play of stream media includes: sending a seeking play request to a stream media server; receiving preview key frames for seeking play sent from the stream media server according to a predefined buffer capacity range and storing the preview key frames for seeking play; displaying the preview key frames for seeking play; and initiating a stream media play according to preview key frames selected by a seeking of a user. This invention can improve the seeking operation experience of the user, control the downloading time of the extracted program, and reduce requirements of storage capability of the stream media terminal.
