Abstract:
A silent chain that can reduce friction loss during travel of a chain. A silent chain 1 is configured by stacking a large number of link plates 2 comprising a pair of tooth parts 22 and pin holes 21 in the thickness direction and the lengthwise direction, and also arranging guide plates 4 on the outermost side of the link plates 2, and coupling the link plates 2 and the guide plates 4 by means of connecting pins 3. Protruding parts 45 which can come into sliding contact with guide parts 56B of a chain guide 56 and guide parts 57B of a tension arm 57 during travel of the silent chain 1 are provided on an outer side surface 4A of the guide plates 4. The contact between the silent chain 1 and the chain guide 56 and tension arm 57 is made to be point contact, and friction loss during travel of the chain can be reduced.

A lube base oil which comprises at least one hydrocarbon compound having as the basic skeleton a structure represented by any of the general formulae (I) to (VI) and has a viscosity at −40° C. of 40 Pa·s or lower and a viscosity index of 80 or higher, (wherein p is an integer of 1 to 10, provided that in the formulae (I) and (II), p is not 1). It satisfies the coefficient of high-temperature traction, low-temperature flowability, and viscosity index on a high level.
Abstract:
A traction drive fluid composition which comprises component (A) a base oil for traction drives bearing at least one selected from a quaternary carbon atom or an alicyclic structure in the molecule and component (B) at least one polymer having a weight average molecular weight in the range of 8,000 to 40,000 and which is selected from among (a) hydrocarbon polymers each containing as a constituent at least 10 mole % of a monomer bearing a cyclic structure, (b) hydrocarbon polymers each containing at least 25% of quaternary carbon atoms in the backbone chain, and (c) hydrogenated products from the polymers (a) and (b). The traction drive fluid composition is improved in viscosity index without lowering the traction coefficient to a level lower than that of the base oil and is excellent in shear stability.
Abstract:
Provided is a lubricating oil for continuously variable transmissions characterized by that used as a base oil are a synthetic oil I having the following properties: (a) a traction coefficient at 120° C. is 115% or more of that of 2,4-dicyclohexyl-2-methylpentane, (b) a viscosity at −40° C. is not higher than a viscosity (260 Pa·s) of 2,4-dicyclohexyl-2-methylpentane and (c) a viscosity index is 65 or higher and a synthetic oil II having a viscosity of 1 Pa·s or lower at −40° C. and that the above base oil has a specific property. The above lubricating oil is a lubricating oil for continuously variable transmissions which has a high traction coefficient even at high temperature and is endowed with a good low temperature fluidity and which is suited as a lubricating oil for continuously variable transmissions for automobiles.
Abstract:
An image processor performing image processing for reproducing the skin color of an object easily on a screen without being affected by variation in surrounding environment. The image processor (3) comprises a living body color information acquiring section (9) for acquiring color data in the white region of a living body from image data obtained by photographing the living body as an object, and a data processing section (10) performing white balance adjustment of the photographed image data based on the color data acquired at the living body color information acquiring section.
Abstract:
A tensioning device to impart tension to a chain or belt comprising a tensioner arm, a supporting member, a pivot, and a biasing element. The tensioner arm has a proximal end with a curved engaged surface formed on a lower surface thereof, a distal end opposite the proximal end, and an arcuately curved chain sliding surface extending between the proximal end and the distal end. The supporting member has an engaging surface for slidably contacting the engaged surface of the proximal end of the tensioner arm, such that the force exerted by a chain passing over the chain sliding surface is transmitted from the engaged surface to the engaging surface. The pivot couples the tensioner arm to the supporting member. The biasing element is between the supporting member and imparts a resilient force on the distal end of the tensioner arm.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a method for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection wherein a composition containing protease and an antibacterial agent as active ingredients, which can remove Helicobacter pylori from a stomach at high probability without causing side effects or the occurrence of resistant bacteria, and which can treat and prevent peptic ulcer caused by Helicobacter pylori infection and can prevent the recurrence of peptic ulcer is employed.
Abstract:
An automatic door driving system is disclosed, which can electrically perform automatic door opening/closing operation in case of emergency, i.e., occurrence of a fire, or power stoppage and effect automatic door opening/closing control according to the prevailing situation. In the driving system, an AC power source and battery power source are selectively connected through an emergency battery unit to an automatic door controller for controlling an automatic door drive motor. Normally, electric power is supplied from the AC power source to the automatic door controller, while the battery power source is charged from the AC power source. At the time of power stoppage, electric power is supplied from the battery power source to the automatic door controller.
Abstract:
An automatic door including a door body connected to a chain or belt extending between and wound around a drive pulley disposed on one side of a door opening and a driven pulley disposed on the other side thereof in which the door body is actuated to open and close by allowing the drive pulley to be rotated forwardly or reversely by an electric motor connected through a main switch and a controller to a main electric power supply source, comprises an apparatus for automatically moving the door body to its closing-stop point when the supply of electric power to the motor is interrupted by the OFF operation of the main switch, and a locking apparatus for automatically locking the door body in its closing-stop position at that time.
Abstract:
An apparatus for detecting door movement data in an automatic door system is improved in that an opening-direction sensor and a closing-direction sensor are provided on a horizontal member of a slide door frame, while a slide door is provided with a dog having a plurality of actuating portions adapted to switch ON or OFF the opening-direction sensor and the closing-direction sensor as arrayed at an interval in the direction of sliding, so that the opening direction sensor and the closing direction sensor may be switched ON and OFF repeatedly as the door is moved in the opening or closing direction.
