    摘要: A method to selectively project graphical images upon a transparent windscreen head up display of a vehicle based upon visual information present in a peripheral zone of vision includes monitoring a location of visual information corresponding to critical information with respect to the windscreen, and processing the location of the visual information to generate display requirements describing the visual information as present in the peripheral zone of vision. Processing the location includes monitoring an estimated operator gaze location with respect to the windscreen, comparing the estimated operator gaze location to the location of visual information, and generating the display requirements when the estimated operator gaze location is distant from the location of visual information by more than a threshold distance. The method further includes generating the graphical images to be projected based upon the display requirements, and projecting the graphical images upon the transparent windscreen head up display based upon the estimated operator gaze location.

    摘要: A window for an automobile hood, made of a transparent material, such as a polycarbonate sheet, sized and shaped to be a loose fit to an automobile hood cut-out. The window element may be held in place on the automobile by ring shaped, metallic trim elements. The trim elements may have outer edges that are an enlarged copy of the periphery the cut-out in the hood of the automobile and inner edges that are a reduced copy of the periphery the window element. In this way, the window element may be held in the cutout in the automobile hood, sandwiched between the upper and lower trim elements. By applying a suitable adhesive between the trim elements and the automobile hood, the trim and window elements may be fixed in place.

    摘要: A cab for a vehicle has an inset mesh screens along opposite side walls that define window openings through which an operator can view the surroundings, and the window opening is covered with a window assembly including a sliding window panel. The sliding window panel has a latch member that extends through a slot in the mesh screen, and a spring loaded knob that will seat in detents in the mesh screen at selected positions along the slot. The spring loaded knob is on the interior of the cab and is secured in place. The inset of the mesh screen forms a recessed receptacle for the window assembly so window panels of the window assembly do not project outwardly beyond the side surfaces of the cab.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a laminated glass which reduces light transmittance loss of a certain region thereof at a predetermined wavelength, particularly within a near-IR (750 to 1,000 nm) range and which facilitates provision of an optical instrument employing the near-IR light without partial substitution of an intermediate film. The invention provides a laminated glass for vehicle formed of two glass sheets stuck with a thermoplastic resin film, wherein the laminated glass has a first region and a second region; the second region is provided in a belt-like form along upper side of the laminated glass when the laminated glass is secured onto the vehicle; the first region has a visible light transmittance of 70% or higher; the second region has a visible light transmittance of 5% to 50%; the difference, in a light transmittance within a wavelength range of 750 to 1,000 nm, between the first region and the second region is 5% or less; and the second region has a light transmittance of 25% or higher, within a wavelength range of 750 to 1,000 nm.
