摘要： An apparatus and method of supporting lead fingers during a wire bonding process and of preventing the bonding apparatus and clamping assembly from applying force against the die. The present invention includes the use of a movable arm with a portion that is positionable under a portion of the lead fingers of a lead frame during the wire bonding process to provide increased stability of the lead fingers and prevent the bonding apparatus and clamping assembly from applying force against the die. The present invention also provides for the transfer of heat from the heat block directly to the lead fingers during the wire bonding process. The present invention includes the use of a clamp for stabilizing lead fingers during the wire bonding process.

摘要： A wire bonding method includes aligning the face of a capillary along a first direction to make a first wire bond at a first bond point. The capillary face is realigned to a second direction to make a second wire bond at a second bond point. The realignment may be achieved by a system including an wire bonding capillary having an indicator located thereon. A detector detects a signal from the indicator. The signal corresponds to a rotational alignment of the capillary and, therefore, to a direction of alignment of the capillary face. A first signal indicates a first alignment of the capillary face and a second signal indicates a second alignment of the capillary face. The signals may each have a relative signal strength which indicates rotational an offset of the capillary face from a given direction.

The air blower includes a first fan for blowing the air toward the first surface of the workpiece, a second fan for blowing the air toward the second surface of the workpiece, and a motor for rotating the first fan and the second fan. The first fan and the second fan are provided in correspondence with the at least the first slit heater and the second slit heater.

摘要： A cutting apparatus comprises a machine bed support (1) having a quarter circle profile as seen from above and carrying a workpiece supporting platform (5). The workpiece may be a steel plate (6). The rear of the apparatus has an upstanding post (2) forming a vertical pivot to which is rigidly connected upper and lower arms (3) and (4) which may thus swing in a horizontal plane. A frame (7) is supported on the arms (3) and (4) by rollers R for free movement towards and away from the post (2). The lower limb of frame (7) carries the workpiece cutting device (16) and the upper limb of this frame caries a template following sensor device (8). The sensor device (8) is arranged to follow the required profile defined by a drawing or template on table (10) and this is effected by control of two drive motors using photo-electric template following means one motor driving a wheel (12) which frictionally engages the template and the other motor controlling the orientation of the wheel (12). The wheel is thus rotated to travel across the surface of the template and controlled directionally so that the template pattern is followed to produce a corresponding tracking movement of the frame (7) and thus the cutting device (16). In this arrangement the wheel (12) directly moves the frame (7) together with the cutting device 16 avoiding complex drives and couplings.

摘要： A band saw strip manipulator is arranged to receive a toothed metal strip for welding from a cut to length machine. The strip is moved into the band saw strip manipulator by powered rollers. The strip extends between a first edge detector at one side of the manipulator and a second edge detector at the opposite side of the manipulator. First and second end clamps are located to either side of a carriage mounted for vertical movement. When the strip has been approximately centrally located in the manipulator the carriage moves upwardly thereby pulling the strip upwardly until the edge detectors detect the ends of the strip. The first and second end clamps are then closed and pivoted about first and second guide rollers so that the two ends of the strip are located in close proximity for welding together.
