Abstract: An outdoor wood decking board for use in construction of an outdoor deck floor, the outdoor decking board including a wood core formed from a first wood species of common grade wood species as a three-dimensional solid rigid body. A facing wood veneer formed from a second wood species of superior grade wood species as a three-dimensional solid rigid wood finishing layer permanently seamlessly attached via an adhesive to a first wood face of the wood core thereby the wood core having an appearance of the second wood species. In another embodiment, the facing wood veneer is formed from a third wood species, exotic hardwood species. A two-part emulsion polymer isocyanate adhesive is used to bond the wood core against the facing wood veneer; to bond two wood cores together. In another embodiment, the adhesive is a two-part polyurethane emulsion polymer.

Abstract: A composite siding panel mountable on an exterior wall of a building includes a backing member and a siding member attached to the backing member, wherein the first side edge of the siding member overhangs the first side edge of the backing member, and the second side edge of the siding member also overhangs the second front side edge of the backing member. An adhesive coating joins the front face of the backing member to the rear face of the siding member. The adhesive coating runs substantially from the first side edge of the backing member to the second side edge thereof. In the field, the overhang on one side can be trimmed or removed as desired to make a siding assembly with the overhangs organized as desired for aesthetic purposes. A siding assembly including a plurality of composite siding panels adjacently mountable on an exterior wall of a building is also disclosed.

Abstract: Disclosed is a skid-resistant floor board with parallel locking engagement structure, including a main body and an adhesive layer, which is stacked on and overlaps an undersurface of the main body. The adhesive layer has a surface that is provided for contacting and engaging a ground surface and includes a plurality of raised ribs projecting therefrom. Through the inclusion of a glass fiber layer in the main body and extension of the glass fiber layer into the parallel locking projection, the tensile strength and the bending strength of the product, after being jointed, are significantly increased and are much greater than a product without the glass fiber layer so that the product performance is greatly improved and improved resistance against skidding can be achieved.

Since the horizontal grained cores are supported by the vertical grained frames, the two groups of horizontal grained cores are not easily warped, such that the two-ply solid composite wood component has more excellent resistance to bending, deformation and warping.

Abstract: A flooring product includes a first oriented strand board layer, an acoustic barrier layer, and a second oriented strand board layer, where the acoustic barrier layer is secured between the first and second oriented strand board layers to form the flooring product. The plurality of flooring products can be positioned adjacently to comprise a complete flooring assembly. Such a flooring assembly can be facilitated by including features along edges of the flooring product for securing or engaging one flooring product to adjacent flooring products. For example, the flooring product can be arranged with one edge as a tongue and an opposing edge as a groove, where the tongue of one flooring product can be fitted into the groove of an adjacent flooring product to secure or engage the two flooring products together. In another example, edges of the flooring products can be arranged to form lap joints upon engagement.

Abstract: An integrated fiber cement and foam cladding system is provided that incorporates foam or similar light weight material to improve the insulation capacity of the cladding system. The system includes at least a fiber cement layer and a foam layer disposed on the backside of the fiber cement layer. The system improves the R-value of the building, a measure of the building's resistance to transferring heat or thermal energy.

Processes for manufacturing such surface elements can comprise manufacturing a supporting core having an upper side, treating said upper side of said supporting core, including at least one of the steps of ground coating with a primer, sanding and providing said upper side with a surface structure, applying a digitally printed décor comprising inks of at least four colors directly on top of the ground coating by an ink-jet type printer, said digitally printed decor being one of wood or mineral, and providing and curing a protecting and at least partly translucent wear layer on the upper side of the supporting core.
