Abstract:
Polyalphaolefins and Salan catalysts, catalyst systems, and processes to produce the polyalphaolefins. Also disclosed are high-viscosity index polyalphaolefins and processes for producing them.
Abstract:
A reflectarray for shaping electromagnetic radiation having a characteristic wavelength in an operating band of wavelengths, the reflectarray comprising: a planar backplane that reflects the electromagnetic radiation; a dielectric layer located on the backplane; a plurality of cells, each cell characterized by a maximum dimension less than the characteristic wavelength of the radiation and comprising an array of at least two antennas having different shapes that reflect the electromagnetic radiation; wherein the antennas in the plurality of cells are coplanar.
Abstract:
Novel fluorogenic compounds designed such that upon a chemical event, compounds capable of emitting NIR light are generated, are disclosed. The compounds comprise two or more acceptor-containing moieties and a cleavable donor-containing moiety, being in complete pi-electrons conjugation and being such that no delocalization of pi-electrons is enabled. Also disclosed are fluorescent compounds generated upon subjecting the fluorogenic compounds to a chemical event (e.g., deprotonation). Also disclosed are uses of the fluorogenic compounds as NIR probed with a Turn-ON mechanism in monitoring presence and/or level of various analytes.
Abstract:
A method of correcting gaze offset in an image of at least one individual having eyes is disclosed. The method comprises: processing the image to extract location of at least one eye over the image, processing the image to replace imagery data associated with each location of each eye with replacement data thereby providing a corrected image, and transmitting the corrected image to a display device. The replacement data are preferably previously-recorded imagery data which respectively correspond to the same eye but a different gaze.
Abstract:
A method of transplanting cells into a subject is disclosed. The method comprises transplanting the cells into the paranasal sinus of the subject or the subarachnoid cavity situated between the frontal bone of skull and the olfactory bulb of the subject. Devices for paranasal sinus transplantation and subarachnoid cavity transplantation are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Methodologies for labeling the epigenetic modification 5-hydroxymethyl-cytosine (5hmC) along a DNA molecule, and for imaging this epigenetic modification along a DNA molecule are disclosed. Related compositions and reagents, and methods of preparing same are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Composite structures composed of a device as a core structure, being a medical device or article, and a porous polymeric coat and designed capable of encapsulating bioactive agents while retaining the activity of these agents are disclosed. Further disclosed are processes of preparing such composite structures.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel jasmonate derivatives, methods for their preparation, pharmaceutical compositions including such compounds, and methods of using these compounds and compositions, especially as chemotherapeutic agents for prevention and treatment of cancers.
Abstract:
In a method of analysis, a target image is registered to define a plurality of keypoints arranged in sets corresponding to polygons or linear segments in the target image. A database of registered and annotated images is accessed and a polygon-wise comparison between the target image and each database image is employed. The comparison is used for projecting annotated locations from the database images into the target image.
Abstract:
A complex includes RNA and a positively charged modified polysaccharide selected from starch, amylose, amylopectin, galactan, chitosan, or dextrin. The complex can be formed into a pharmaceutical composition. The complex can be used in methods for RNA transfection, gene therapy and treatment of a disease, disorder or condition. The positively charged modified polysaccharide can be used in connection with RNA transfection into cells.
