Abstract: The present disclosure provides a battery pack and an electric vehicle. The battery pack includes a casing wherein the battery is placed, a cooling plate located below the casing in a height direction, and a bracket assembly located below the cooling plate in a height direction and fixedly connected to the casing, the bracket assembly is used for direct contact with a mounting plate of the electric vehicle. When the battery pack of the present disclosure is used in an electric vehicle, since the bracket assembly separates the cooling plate from the mounting plate of the electric vehicle, the cooling plate does not need to directly exchange heat with the mounting plate, thereby reducing the influence of the temperature of the mounting plate on the cooling plate, and increasing the cooling or heating efficiency of the cooling plate to the battery inside the casing.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a casing for a battery pack and a battery pack. The casing has a receiving space and an opening in communication with the receiving space, the receiving space is formed by a wall portion of the casing, and the wall portion is formed from two or more stacked base plates, between which a plurality of cavities are formed, wherein an island is disposed within the cavity. By disposing islands in the plurality of cavities, the casing provided by the present disclosure not only can improve the structural strength of the casing and of the cavities, but also can change the flow capacity and flow rate of the fluid in the cavities, which can make the temperature distribution of the casing more uniform, increase the heat exchange efficiency of the battery assembly, and further improve the thermal management of the battery pack.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a battery module and a battery pack. A battery module includes: a cooling component; and a battery group, comprising secondary batteries disposed side by side in a first direction and each including a case having an accommodating hole, an electrode assembly disposed in the accommodating hole, and a cap assembly, the electrode assembly including two end faces disposed opposite to each other in a second direction intersecting the first direction and an electrode tab extending from each end face. The secondary batteries each includes two sides opposite to each other in the second direction, the cooling component is disposed on at least one of the two sides, the cooling component and the end face are respectively disposed on two sides of the case in the second direction, and the cooling component is connected and fixed to each of the secondary batteries.

Abstract: A battery assembly includes a protection member and a battery module including at least two batteries arranged side by side along a first direction and having a first outer surface and a second outer surface opposite to each other along a second direction. The protection member is in the form of a letter U with two vertical portions having different lengths, wherein a first protection section covers the end covers of batteries in the battery module, a part of a second protection section covers the first outer surface, and a third protection section abuts against an end cover of a battery corresponding to the second outer surface. The protection member can prevent the airflow, the flame and the like sprayed during thermal runaway, and control a thermal diffusion range during thermal runaway.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a battery module including at least one battery unit array structure, an upper cover, a lower cover and a fireproof component disposed vertically. Each battery unit array structure includes a plurality of battery units and a plurality of busbars electrically connected to the plurality of battery units. The battery unit array structure is disposed between the upper cover and the lower cover. Each battery unit of each battery unit array structure is provided with a vent facing towards the fireproof component. Different from the related art, when thermal runaway occurs in a battery unit according to the present disclosure, flame and high-temperature particles ejected from a vent of a battery unit are blocked by the fireproof component from burning adjacent battery units, thereby preventing the thermal runaway in the other battery units from being triggered by the existing thermal runaway.

Abstract: A battery module, a device, and a failure handling method for a failed battery cell. The battery module includes: a battery cell arrangement structure, including a plurality of battery cells arranged along a length direction, where the battery cells include electrode terminals, and the battery cells include a failed battery cell; a box body, having an accommodation cavity in which the battery cell arrangement structure is located; a mounting beam, located in the accommodation cavity and at an end of the battery cell arrangement structure along the width direction; a pressing plate; and a conductive component, connected to a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal of the failed battery cell. The conductive component is easily connected to electrode terminals of a failed battery cell, so that a maintenance process can be simplified and maintenance costs can be reduced.
