Abstract: A battery, an electric device, and a manufacturing method and manufacturing device for the battery are provided. The battery includes at least one battery cell, a box body having a bottom wall, at least one box cover and at least one pressure release mechanism. The at least one box cover and the box body, arranged in a first direction, define together an accommodation space for accommodating the battery cells. The at least one box cover and the bottom wall are arranged opposite to each other in the first direction. The at least one pressure release mechanism is installed on the bottom wall, and configured to be activated when the pressure or temperature in the accommodation space reaches a threshold value, to release the pressure in the accommodation space. Projections of the pressure release mechanism and the battery cell do not overlap in a plane perpendicular to the first direction.

Abstract: This application relates to a battery module and a battery pack. The battery module includes a binding member and battery cell assemblies arranged along a horizontal direction, the battery cell assembly including an upper-layer battery cell and a lower-layer battery cell that are stacked along a vertical direction, the upper-layer battery cell and the lower-layer battery cell interconnected and forming a joint; and the binding member covering the joint, located between two adjacent battery cell assemblies, and fixed to the battery cell assemblies. The battery module includes a binding member and a plurality of battery cell assemblies, and the battery cell assembly includes upper-layer and a lower-layer battery cells stacked along a vertical direction. A joint is formed between the upper-layer and lower-layer battery cells and covered by the joint fixed to the battery cell assemblies, swelling of the upper-layer and lower-layer battery cells at the joint is reduced.

The protective plate is provided with a guide groove. The protective plate is configured to shield an explosion-proof valve of a battery cell. The guide groove is configured to be disposed corresponding to the explosion-proof valve, and is configured to guide a flow direction of a flame ejected from the explosion-proof valve. In this application, the guide groove is disposed on the protective plate to guide the flame to a direction away from passengers, thereby protecting the passengers from injury.

The size of the battery module in the vertical direction is L1, and a size of the battery pack in the vertical direction is L2, where 70%≤L1/L2≤95%.

The fixing member passes through the mounting hole to make the lower box body mounted to external equipment, compared with the conventional battery box, the lower box body is equivalent to the arrangement of eliminating the third eave portion, it simplifies the structure and reduces the weight, thereby improving the energy density.
