摘要: A slider including a magnetic head part, an optical waveguide, and a near field element is fixed by first and second adhesives to a submount on which a semiconductor laser and a mirror are mounted, the mirror being placed at one end of the semiconductor laser in a resonance direction thereof and reflecting a laser in a direction intersecting with the resonance direction. At this time, at least parts of the first and second adhesives are applied to a position opposed to the semiconductor laser with an intermediation of the submount. The first adhesive having a higher Young's modulus than that of the second adhesive is applied onto an inflow end side of the slider including a solder connection portion, the second adhesive being applied onto an outflow end side of the slider.

More particularly, the present invention relates to a flavor composition or fragrance composition which comprises an optically active S-alkyl 2-methylbutanethioate as an active ingredient, a flavor- or fragrance-added product, a flavor-improving agent which comprises an optically active S-alkyl 2-methylbutanethioate as an active ingredient, and a beverage or food having an improved flavor. The optically active S-alkyl 2-methylbutanethioate includes S-alkyl(R)-2-methylbutanethioate and S-alkyl(S)-2-methylbutanethioate.

摘要: A liquid crystal display device with improved thermal exhaustion property, enabling a thickness reduction, includes a backlight including light sources illuminating a liquid crystal panel from a back face, and a chassis holding the backlight. The backlight includes: plural light-source units each including a combination of a LED emitting light in a direction parallel to a display surface of the panel, a wiring board mounted with the LED, and a light-guide plate having translucency for guiding the LED light toward the panel; a metal chassis supporting the light-source units; and a thermally conductive sheet tightly inserted between the metal chassis and a reverse side of the wiring board opposite to the LED-mounted face. A wiring pattern is formed on the reverse side. The metal chassis and the wiring pattern located within a predetermined distance of the LED outer periphery are connected through the thermally conductive sheet.

摘要: A chemical analyzer has a rotatable holding disk, test cartridges disposed thereon, and a detector. The test cartridge includes a base plate having vessels and flow channels. The base plate is covered with a cover for covering the vessels and flow channels. The holding disk is rotated to generate centrifugal force, causing a fluid to be moved from one vessel at the inner peripheral side with respect to a rotation axis of the holding disk to another vessel at the outer peripheral side with respect to the rotation axis via the flow channel. In the test cartridge, at least one reagent port is formed in the base plate, and a closed vessel containing a reagent is placed in the reagent port. The closed vessel is a microcapsule, a plastic closed vessel, or a screw-in closed vessel, for example.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device with a bump-electrode of gold crystal is disclosed. The method includes providing a semiconductor substrate, an insulative layer, an electrode section, passivation layer on the edge portion of the electrode section, a multi-layer film, and a bump electrode of gold crystal. The method further includes heat treatment of the bump electrode to form an anticorrosive layer between the electrode section and the lower layer of the multi-layer film. Removing the unnecessary multi-layer film, the anticorrosive layer is used as a mask for etching to simplify the process of manufacturing the semiconductor device.
