In one embodiment, a source computer system is adapted to package a static object and associated context information and transmit the package over a network to a target computer system. The target computer system may present the static object in an application with the associated context information to substantially approximate presentation of the same at the source computer system.     摘要: Techniques are disclosed that involve the indication of neighbor base stations. For instance, a base station may generate and wirelessly transmit a message that indicates a plurality of neighboring base stations. This message may include an indicator having one or more wildcard values. Through the employment of such wildcard values, the indicator may provide information corresponding to the plurality of neighboring base stations. For instance, the indicator may indicate a plurality of base station identifiers (BSIDs). Alternatively, the indicator may indicate a plurality of preamble indices. As a further alternative, the indicator may indicate a plurality of carrier frequencies. Through the employment of such techniques, overhead can be saved without causing ambiguity in mobility management.

    摘要: Embodiments of a context-retention controller and method for retaining context in a wireless access network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the context-retention controller may assign a context identifier to a mobile device at network entry for context retention. A disconnection and context-retention request may be received from a base station to trigger entry of the mobile station into a context-retention mode. The base station may generate the disconnection and context-retention request upon an indication of a disconnection of the mobile device from the wireless access network. The context-retention controller may maintain context for the mobile device in a context-retention database after disconnection of the mobile device from the wireless access network.

Moreover, a subscriber station is capable of remaining in sleep and may optionally only be awaken in the event there is data to be transmitted from the base station to the subscriber station and/or from the subscriber station to the base station. By implementing an always sleep and need based wake up arrangement, the power consumption of the subscriber station can be reduced.
