A thermoplastic resin composition comprising a blend obtainable by blending 0.1 to 99% by weight of (a) a fluorine-containing polymer having a number-average molecular weight of 2000 to 1000000 and having hydroxy group or epoxy group at least at one of end portions of a main chain and side chain of the polymer, and 1 to 99.9% by weight of (b) a heat resisting thermoplastic resin having a crystalline melting point or glass transition temperature of not less than 150.degree. C. The present invention can provide a composition comprising various heat resisting thermoplastic resins and a fluorine-containing polymer having a functional group which is capable of developing an affinity with said resins and forming a uniform dispersion.

Vinyl ethers having a carboxyl group in a form of salt are stable and is usable as materials for fluorine-containing copolymers. The vinyl ethers can provide stable monomer compositions by mixing with vinyl ethers having a free carboxyl group when the former vinyl ethers are present in an amount of not less than 1% by mole of the latter vinyl ethers. The fluorine-containing copolymer prepared by copolymerizing fluoroolefins with the vinyl ethers are useful as aqueous coatings particularly electro dip coatings.

There is provided a method of forming a thin film of vinylidene fluoride homopolymer having crystal form I which is applicable to various substrates in relatively easy way (coating conditions, application method, etc.), a process for preparing a vinylidene fluoride homopolymer having crystal form I efficiently at high purity, and novel vinylidene fluoride homopolymers which can give a thin film being excellent in ferroelectricity. The method of forming a thin film of vinylidene fluoride homopolymer comprises (i) a step for preparing a green powder product of vinylidene fluoride homopolymer comprising crystal form I alone or as main component by subjecting vinylidene fluoride to radical polymerization in the presence of a bromine compound or iodine compound having 1 to 20 carbon atoms which contains at least one moiety represented by —CRf1Rf2X1, wherein X1. is iodine atom or bromine atom; Rf1. and Rf2. are the same or different and each is selected from fluorine atom or perfluoroalkyl groups having 1 to 5 carbon atoms and (ii) a step for forming a thin film on a substrate surface by using vinylidene fluoride homopolymer which comprises crystal form I alone or as main component and is obtained from the green powder product of vinylidene fluoride homopolymer comprising crystal form I alone or as main component.

The present invention provides a weather-resistant sheet for a solar cell module, which has better adhesion to a water impermeable sheet, better blocking resistance against the water impermeable sheet, and better adhesion to EVA that is a sealant; a weather-resistant sheet for a solar cell module in which a cured coating film layer thereof can suppress UV transmission significantly; a product including the sheet; and a process for producing the sheet. The weather-resistant sheet for a solar cell module includes, on a water impermeable sheet, a cured coating film layer made of a crosslinked product of a coating composition that includes a hydroxyl group-containing fluoropolymer, wherein in a pressure-resistance test performed when a crosslinking degree of the cured coating film layer is 80 to 99%, the cured coating film layer and the water impermeable sheet without a cured coating film layer formed thereon are not adhered to each other after a load has been applied to the cured coating film layer and the water impermeable sheet being stacked.
