    摘要: This invention relates to compositions and methods useful for activating LT-β receptor signaling, which in turn elicits potent anti-proliferative effects on tumor cells. More particularly, this invention relates to lymphotoxin heteromeric complexes formed between lymphotoxin-α and multiple subunits of lymphotoxin-β, which induce cytotoxic effects on tumor cells in the presence of lymphotoxin-β receptor activating agents. Also within the scope of this invention are antibodies directed against the lymphotoxin-β receptor which act as lymphotoxin-β receptor activating agents alone or in combination with other lymphotoxin-β receptor activating agents either in the presence or absence of lymphotoxin-α/β complexes. A screening method for selecting such antibodies is provided. This invention also relates to compositions and methods using cross-linked anti-lymphotoxin-β receptor antibodies either alone or in the presence of other lymphotoxin-β receptor activating agents to potentiate tumor cell cytotoxicity.

    摘要: The liquid distributing device provides for a gravimetric distribution of liquids to mass and heat transfer columns. The device employs a container with pipe outlets, a plurality of individual distributors in the form of manifolds and metering devices between the container and individual distributors for metering the partial flows of liquid to the individual distributors. The device is particularly suitable for columns having a large cross-section and insures a uniform distribution of liquid even where the column or device is inclined.

    摘要: In an ignition system in which the spark coil is wound right on the magneto armature and the spark is produced by electronic interruption of a short circuit across the primary winding, the first of a succession of rectified half waves applied to the electronic circuit unit has its amplitude reduced either by insertion of a circuit component in one half wave path of the rectifier to provide damping, or by the configuration of the armature core, or both. The magneto rotor has a U-shaped permanent magnet, the pole faces on the end of the legs of which are rotated past opposed pole faces of the armature core, which has the desired effect if the latter is of asymmetric U-shape or of symmetrical E-shape.

    摘要: The strip is of the type comprising a wall portion for delimiting a cell for receiving a fuel rod and allowing flow of a coolant upwardly through the spacer grid, a spring provided on the wall portion for biasing a fuel rod extending through the cell away from the wall portion, the spring being cut out in the strip and delimited by a slot and a motion limiter formed in the strip on the wall portion to limit motion of a fuel rod received in the cell towards the wall portion against action of the spring. According to one aspect of the invention, the motion limiter is located on an edge of the slot opposite the spring and defines a risen portion on the edge.
