    摘要: An apparatus for bead coating a substrate with an organic solvent-based coating solution by the use of a slide hopper is disclosed, which is useful for preventing deflection of the members due to changes in temperature stemming from evaporation of the organic solvent and for maintaining a narrowed gap between the lip of the hopper and the substrate with high precision, in which the slide hopper is composed of a raw material with a coefficient of linear expansion of 3.times.10.sup.-6 or less, or composed of an alloy comprising 9.0% to 10.5% by weight of chromium, 52.5% to 56.0% by weight of cobalt and the remainder consisting of iron and other inevitable impurities.

    摘要: Data is produced from asymmetrical echo data, and an MR image is reconstructed from the data thus produced. Namely, inverse Fourier transformation is performed on center echo data, thereby producing phase data. The phase data is inverted in polarity, thereby producing polarity-inverted phase data. Fourier transformation is performed on the polarity-inverted phase data in a readout direction, producing phase-correction data. Inverse Fourier transformation is performed on the asymmetrical echo data in an encode direction. The phase-correction data and the echo data are convoluted in the readout direction, thereby producing echo-data free of phase distortion. Unmeasured echo data is inferred from the convoluted data by utilizing complex conjugate property of the echo data. Inverse Fourier transformation is performed on the convoluted data and the inferred data in the readout direction, thereby producing an image free of phase distortion.

    摘要: A biological microparticle inspection apparatus has a reactor in which blood containing T cells is mixed with latex-labeled antibodies and T cells are coupled with the antibodies to form complexes. A particle size measurement unit is provided for measuring the size of the particles contained in the blood, including the complexes. A signal processing unit processes the measured sizes of the particles outputting signals only when the measured sizes fall within a range of the size of the complex, and counts the number of the output signals. The number of the output signals corresponds to the number of the complexes and hence the T cells.

    摘要: An ultrasound hyperthermia apparatus has a tomographic ultrasound probe for obtaining a tomographic image and a heating applicator for heating a tumor portion. A position detector is provided to detect the positional relationship of the tomographic ultrasound probe and the heating applicator with respect to a living organism, and a hot spot detector detects the position of a focusing point, i.e., a hot spot of the ultrasound radiated from the heating applicator in accordance with position data from the position detector, thereby generating an image signal indicating the hot spot. The image signal indicating the hot spot is superimposed on a tomographic image signal, and the hot spot is displayed on a TV monitor together with the tomographic image.

    摘要: A moving image encoding/decoding system may include a video predictive encoding device, which may include: an encoding device which encodes each of a plurality of input pictures to generate compressed picture data including a random access picture, and encodes data about display order information of each picture; a restoration device which decodes the compressed picture data to restore a reproduced picture; a picture storage device which stores the reproduced picture as a reference picture; and a memory management device which controls the picture storage device. Following completion of an encoding process of generating the random access picture, the memory management device refreshes the picture storage device by setting every reference picture in the picture storage device, except for the random access picture, as unnecessary immediately before or immediately after encoding a picture with display order information larger than the display order information of the random access picture.
