摘要： A process for production of antibody conjugates which comprises modification of a part of the amino groups in an antibody or its fragment whose antigen-binding activity is lowered by the modification of its amino groups, with a reversible modifier for protein amino groups, reaction of the antibody or its fragment with a substance bearing a group reactive with the amino group and removal of the residues of the reversible modifier from the amino groups and, when necessary, the residues of the substance bearing a group reactive with the amino group in case they are introduced onto groups other than amino groups. The process according to the present invention gives antibody conjugates with retention of antigen-binding activity and these conjugates have a possibility of being used in affinity chromatography or as a diagnostic agent or a drug for cancer therapy.

摘要： In a transfer press having feed bars and a press drive, an improved feed bar driving apparatus has a vertical rod reciprocally movable in association with the press drive and having a threaded portion, a drive means to the vertical rod means for rotating the vertical rod means in opposite directions, a feed screw device connected to the threaded portion of the vertical rod for being rotated by the vertical rod in opposite directions by rotation and reciprocation of the vertical rod, a pair of feed bar receptacles slidably supporting the feed bars and connected to the feed screw device for being moved toward and away from each other when the feed screw device is rotated in respective opposite directions for moving the feed bars in a clamping and unclamping movement, a cam rotatable in assocation with the press drive, a lever mounted on a fulcrum and connected to the vertical rod and in contact with the cam for being pivoted around the fulcrum by the cam for moving the vertical rod through a stroke, and a stroke adjusting mechanism connected to the fulcrum for changing the position of the fulcrum for selectively adjusting the stroke of the vertical rod and thereby adjusting the stroke of the feed bars.

A method of manufacturing a film-covered terminal is also disclosed which comprises the steps of covering opposite surfaces of a foil-like and plate-like electrode terminal with sealing films through bonding layers respectively, inserting a rivet of an electrically conductive plastic material into a through hole formed through the electrode terminal, the bonding layers, and the sealing films, the rivet having an end portion at which a soldering member is secured, and thermally press-bonding the opposite ends of the rivet.

摘要： A matrix-addressed liquid crystal display device including a matrix-addressed display section is provided. The display section comprises a pair of optically transparent plates each of which having on one surface a plurality of parallel strip electrodes optically transparent and deposited through an optically transparent spacer, said pair of plates being parallelly arranged so that the electrodes will be inside and mutually intersect at right angles so as to form row and column electrode groups of a matrix, and a cholesteric phase liquid crystal filled between the respective plates, which liquid crystal being such that when a voltage applied to the electrodes is above a threshold level the molecular axes of the liquid crystal are aligned in the direction of electric field due to the voltage applied. The device utilized a nematic phase to cholesteric phase transition of the liquid crystal occurring when the voltage applied is maintained nearby the threshold level and becomes for a short time period below the threshold level.

摘要： Provided is an anesthetic solution-filled cartridge-type electric dental syringe, wherein the plunger has been shortened but the plunger can nevertheless be extended to the distance necessary to evacuate the anesthetic solution from the cartridge. The syringe comprises: an extension tube into which a plunger is movably inserted, the extension tube being movably disposed in the through hole of a support block and having racks formed in the side surface thereof that are coordinated with the racks of the plunger; and a means for the plunger to draw the extension tube to engage the racks of the extension tube with a pinion when the plunger reaches the middle of the distance corresponding to the anesthetic solution accommodation length of the cartridge. By the engagement of the racks of the extension tube with the pinion, the plunger moves together with the extension tube for the remainder of the distance corresponding to the anesthetic solution accommodation length of the cartridge.
