Abstract:
A disk recording apparatus includes a disk to store data, a motor to rotate the disk, an encoder to generate a pulse according to the rotation of the disk, a reference signal output part to output a reference clock signal created using the pulse of the encoder, and a servo writer to record servo data on the disk in synchronization with the reference clock signal supplied from the reference signal output part. The disk recording apparatus can supply an index signal and the reference clock signal in the form of a pulse output from the encoder to detect a motor velocity.
Abstract:
A mesoporous alumina molecular sieve and a method of manufacturing a mesoporous alumina mesoporous alumina molecular sieve of the invention is produced without using traditionally used additives. Also, because the size and distribution of the pores can be controlled, the molecular sieve can be produced simply and economically, producing molecular sieve with high surface area and thermal stability. Further, a method of manufacturing an alumina nanotube by using a surfactant and a use of the alumina nanotube as a hydrogen storage material are provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a separable radar detector, and more particularly, to a separable radar detector, wherein a horn antenna and a circuit for detection, and a display unit for displaying detected signals thereon are constructed to be moved, separated or rotated with respect to each other. The separable radar detector of the present invention comprises a horn antenna, a signal-processing unit for processing signals received by the horn antenna, an upper case for accommodating the horn antenna and the signal-processing unit, a lower case connected to the upper case to be relatively moved with respect thereto, and a display unit connected to the signal-processing unit and installed in the lower case to inform a user of the received signals processed by the signal-processing unit. According to the present invention, a large, flat display device can be employed and the angle of a display unit can be adjusted, thereby enabling a user to view the display unit in an optimum state and to utilize additional functions that are difficult to be implemented in conventional radar detectors.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an image processing method including the steps of: obtaining a brightness of a low-illuminance image from a histogram distribution of the low-illuminance image; and differently selecting a pixel state of each of local images depending on the brightness, so as to eliminate a noise while obtaining the image with definition improved in a low-illuminance environment.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for communication between access points (APs) and for a user agent (UA)'s selecting an AP and establishing a connection by which in establishing a connection between a wireless LAN AP providing a wireless LAN service and the UA in a public wireless LAN service utilizing a wireless LAN technology, a maximum efficiency of the AP a maximum performance of the UA can be obtained. According to the method, the number of user agents connected to a current AP and the amount of traffic being currently processed are compared with the maximum capacity of a neighboring AP and the number of user agents connected to and being serviced by the neighboring AP, to recommend an optimum AP to the user agent. By doing so, the user agent is allowed to comprehensively review information on the number of user agents connected to an adjacent AP and the amount of traffic being processed by the AP as well as reception sensitivity, and then to select an optimum AP.
Abstract:
A drum washing machine, and a method of controlling the drum washing machine including spin-drying laundry by rotating a rotary tub after a washing and/or rinsing operation, wherein the spin-drying of the laundry comprises spraying and feeding water into the rotary tub during a time period wherein the rotary tub is inertially rotated.
Abstract:
An integrated circuit includes a memory cell that stores a data bit corresponding to one of a low and a high voltage. A memory element is coupled to a data node for storing the data bit and to an inverse data node for storing an inverse of the data bit. An access port of the memory cell comprises an access switch having a first terminal coupled to a data line, a second terminal coupled to the data node, and a control terminal coupled to an access control line which provides an access control signal for switching the access switch on or off to selectively couple the data line to the data node. The memory cell has a preset switch having a first terminal coupled to the inverse data node, a second terminal coupled to a logic-0 voltage source, and a preset control terminal coupled to a preset control line which provides a write preset control signal for switching the preset switch on or off to selectively couple the inverse data node to the logic-0 voltage source.
Abstract:
A method of allocating a multicast resource to a multicast group for a multicast communication in a base station is provided. The base station persistently allocates the multicast resource to the multicast group, generates a MAP IE including allocation information of the multicast resource, an allocation period indicating a period in which the multicast resource is allocated and a lifetime in which allocation of the multicast resource is maintained, and transmitting the MAP IE to the multicast group.
Abstract:
A base station allocates a paging group to a mobile station. The base station transmits, to a mobile station, a first message including indices of a plurality of carriers and information for the plurality of carriers and a second message including paging group information representing whether each of a plurality of carriers supports each of one or more paging groups. Then, the base station selects a paging transmission carrier for the mobile station from among at least one paging carrier corresponding to the paging group allocated to the mobile station and transmits the paging message through the paging transmission carrier.
Abstract:
A memory module that is couplable to a memory controller hub (MCH) of a host system includes a non-volatile memory subsystem, a data manager coupled to the non-volatile memory subsystem, a volatile memory subsystem coupled to the data manager and operable to exchange data with the non-volatile memory subsystem by way of the data manager, and a controller operable to receive read/write commands from the MCH and to direct transfer of data between any two or more of the MCH, the volatile memory subsystem, and the non-volatile memory subsystem based on the commands.
