    摘要: A method for determining the activity of cholinesterase comprising the steps of:mixing a solution containing p-methoxybenzoate demethylmonooxygenase, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide reduced form (NADH) and p-methoxybenzoyl choline cation having the following formula: ##STR1## with a liquid containing cholinesterase, measuring the decrease in absorbance of light by NADH, which is based on a consumption of NADH, and calculating the activity of cholinesterase therefrom.

First gradation data with a first number of bits corresponding to the display data is supplied to the display drive apparatus, which generates second gradation data from the first gradation data with a second number of bits less than the first number of bits, third gradation data in which the second gradation data are eliminated from the first gradation data, and fourth gradation data corresponding to a gradation different from a gradation of the second gradation data. And, in each frame period, the display drive apparatus selectively outputs one of the second gradation data and the fourth gradation data to each of the display pixels based on the third gradation data, so as to display an intermediate gradation between the second gradation data and the fourth gradation data.

    摘要: A mass spectrometer capable of obtaining a clear microscopic observation image with high spatial resolution in real time, even during a mass analysis, without affecting the analysis is provided. An aperture 1a is formed in a stage 1 on which a sample plate 2 to be placed. The sample plate 2 is transparent or translucent. A microscopic observation unit, including an observation optical system 20 and a CCD camera 21, is provided below the stage 1 to observe the reverse side of the sample 3 through the aperture 1a of the stage 1 as well as the transparent sample plate 2. The observed image is displayed on the screen of a display unit 27. If the sample 3 is a slice of biological tissue, the sample image taken from the reverse side will be substantially the same as an image taken from the obverse side.

A plurality of applying circuit sections are provided for every predetermined number of a plurality of signal lines, for generating a display signal voltage corresponding to the display data on the basis of the plurality of gradation voltages and for sequentially applying the display signal voltage to each of the predetermined number of signal lines. The time when the gradation voltage generating section reverses the polarities of the gradation voltages is set to occur before a timing for the next horizontal synchronizing signal and after completion of application of the display signal voltage to the signal lines.
