Beneficial topical compositions for treating scar or aging skin are provided. In one embodiment, the compositions include Bulbine frutescens, Centella asiatica and a phenol derived from olives, such as oleuropein. The composition may be used in the treatment of scars formed during surgery. The composition may also be used cosmeceutically in the treatment of aged skin, and may include phosphatidylserine, vitamins, and other beneficial anti-aging ingredients.

The present invention is generally directed to compositions and methods for amelioration of diseases and related symptoms in domestic animals. In one aspect, the invention is directed to a method of ameliorating the symptoms of arthritis, brain aging, cataracts, diabetes, dermatitis, FLUTD, glaucoma, low energy levels or obesity in a domestic animal, wherein the method comprises administering a composition to the animal, wherein the composition comprises a Fruit-Based Additive, a Vegetable-Based Additive or a Fruit- and Vegetable-Based Additive.

The present invention relates to topical compositions containing fermented extracts of Traditional Chinese Medicinal (TCM) ingredients for improving the appearance and skin condition of the user. The topical compositions of the present invention are tailored for different users of different skin compositions according to TCM principles. The fermented TCM extracts are characterized by reduced odor and/or color in comparison with unfermented TCM extracts and are therefore more suitable for use in cosmetic products.
