The lubricant containing a liquid system lubricant may be preferably coated in a concentrated manner on the sliding face, then rotationally driving the rotation body and then suddenly stopping the rotation body to adhere the lubricant in a film manner on the outer peripheral side sliding wall face of the case body.

    摘要: A compressible graphite lubricant having a memory suspended in an anaerobic adhesive pipe sealant mixture of a polymerizable liquid acrylate ester monomer and a peroxy polymerization initiator. The graphite particles are formed of expanded graphite which gives the pipe sealant both compressibility and lubricating characteristics. The compound has the ability to change from a liquid with sufficient lubricity to assemble standard API and premium threaded connections without galling and then transform and fix itself into a continuous solid blocking or sealing agent in the gaps of the thread form. The expanded (compressible) graphite has a memory and, as part of the anaerobic fixing compound, allows the pipe sealant to maintain its sealing integrity under cycling of tension, compression, bending, and thermal expansion and contraction. The ability of the compressible lubricant/pipe sealant compound to maintain sealing integrity under cycling of tension, compression, bending, and thermal expansion and contraction loads makes it particularly suitable for use in vertical and horizontal oil and gas wells using oil country tubular goods tubing, casing, and drill pipe joint. An additional aspect of the invention involves a threaded pipe having a compressible lubricant/pipe sealant as described above deposited on at least a part of the threaded portion thereof.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to an improved composition and process for preparing a non-conductive substrate for electroplating. The composition comprises 0.1 to 20% by weight graphite having a mean particle size within the range of 0.05 to 50 microns; 0.01 to 10% by weight of a water soluble or dispersible binding agent for binding to the graphite particles; an effective amount of an anionic dispersing agent for dispersing the bound graphite particles; a pH within the range of 4-14; and an aqueous dispersing medium. Optionally, the composition may contain an amount of a surfactant that is effective for wetting the through hole. The resulting graphite dispersion is capable of uniformly coating the through holes in either a double-sided or multi-layer circuit board prior to electroplating. Through holes that were treated with the disclosed graphite dispersion prior to electroplating were free of visible voids after electroplating.

    摘要: A composition of matter suitable for increasing the viscosity of liquids comprises tendrillar carbonaceous material (TCM) having a ultra low bulk density of less than about 0.1 g/cm.sup.3 and comprises intertwined tendrils having a diameter (number average) of from about 0.05 to about 0.2 micron and a length (number average) to diameter (number average) ratio greater than about 10, the tendrils comprising carbon fibers and an iron metal component dispersed throughout the carbon fibers as nodules that are intimately associated with and at least partially bonded to the carbon fibers, the tendrillar carbonaceous material comprising from about 0.1 to about 5% by weight iron. The TCM can be used as a viscosifier and for suspending solids in such applications as drilling muds, lubricating oils and greases. The TCM can be prepared by disproportionating carbon monoxide in the presence of iron contained in a blend of (1) previously formed TCM and (2) iron containing particles.
