摘要： In one embodiment, a method comprises receiving a primary stream of encoded frames and a separate stream of redundant frames. The method further comprises decoding and reconstructing in parallel the frames in the primary stream and the separate stream of redundant frames, on a real-time basis, in accordance with a specified common clock reference. The method further comprises, upon determining that a frame in the primary stream exhibits an error or impairment, determining a decoded redundant frame in the separate stream that corresponds to the impaired frame, and substituting at least a portion of the information in the decoded redundant frame for a corresponding decoded version of the impaired frame.

摘要： A coding technique is disclosed in which frames of a video sequence are assigned to one of a plurality of sub-channels to be transmitted to a decoder. The frames are coded according to predictive coding techniques such that ordinarily prediction references of the frames in each sub-channel only reach the reference frames that occur within the same sub-channel. Thus, if transmission errors arise with respect to one sub-channel, decoding may occur for another sub-channel until the transmission error is detected and corrected.

摘要： A method for providing error-resilient video content may include receiving video data reflective of multiple video frames and encoding the video data to generate a plurality of packets. The method may also include transmitting the first group of packets to at least two receivers and receiving feedback information regarding receiving status of respective ones of the plurality of packets, the feedback information being indicative of packets not received correctly. The method may further include examining error indications based on the feedback information and implementing a first error-correction policy if a variation in the error indications among the at least two receivers is below a first error threshold and a second error-correction policy if the variation is above the first error threshold. At least one of the first and second error-correction policies may include transmitting or retransmitting at least one packet using a different coding scheme.

摘要： An input data is divided into blocks of predetermined time units and then further divided into a plurality of bands. Each band is coded and compressed to prepare a basic sub-block essential for data reproduction and a plurality of extension sub-blocks contributing to improvement of the quality of the reproduced data. A transmission timing during streaming delivery, remaining extension sub-blocks are delivered if the time period is still within a time period for delivering the same data block, but the remaining extension sub-blocks are not delivered and delivery of the basic sub-block of the subsequent data block begins if the delivery timing for the subsequent data block has arrived. In this way, a stable streaming delivery is achieved by a scalable data compression.
