摘要: A process for producing a thin tin and zinc plated steel sheet which comprises electroplating zinc on a steel sheet from a zinc electroplating bath containing zinc ions followed by tin-plating the zinc plated steel sheet by immersion or by immersion followed by electroplating in a tinplating bath containing stannous ions, whereby zinc ions from the zinc plated steel sheet replace the stannous ions in the tinplating solution during the immersion tinplating. The resultant solution from the tinplating which contains zinc ions is recycled to make up the zinc electroplating bath.

摘要: A method of preparing hollow metallic bodies by contacting flat droplets of a molten metal with a liquid capable of readily gasifying at a temperature lower than the melting point of said metal. Upon contact the liquid gasifies under the flat droplets and the gas pushes up the center of the flat droplets. The edges of the droplets fall because the vapor near the edges goes around the edges. As the middle of the droplets rises the surface tension of the droplets brings the edges together thereby forming the hollow metallic body.

摘要: A method of providing a composite coated steel sheet is provided herein by dipping a steel sheet into a suspension solution consisting of a water-soluble and/or water-dispersible organic polymer resin, a water-dispersible sol of a metal compound and an infusible powder of a water-insoluble polymer resin, removing the coated steel sheet from the suspension and curing the coated composite by heat treatment. In certain cases, a metal powder, an alloy powder of said metal and a powder of a difficultly water-soluble or water-insoluble compound of said metal may be used in the suspension solution.

摘要: In a steel strap welding apparatus for an automatic strapping machine, including a head having aligned welding, clamping and cutting stations. A support electrode is movable under overlapped strap ends to be welded simultaneously with application of clamping pressure in the clamping station. A pressure electrode is moved against the supported strap ends and thereafter the cutting station shearing means is actuated to sever the welded strap ends from the strap supply.
