The present invention provides for a sealer/primer that is generally cured at low bake temperatures. The composition utilizes a resin system to provide both conductivity and adhesion of the coating onto plastic substrates. The present invention uses a polyester, such as one that includes unsaturated polyester, in combination with other resins, including an acrylic, crosslinking agent and conductive pigment to create a conductive primer that can be cured at low temperatures. The composition can be applied through traditional application equipment, seals the surface of the substrate to which it is applied, and cures to an acceptable surface for further processing, such as painting.

The present invention is directed to alkyl allyl amine monomers and their use as a polymerizate in a low VOC hair spray formulation. The hair spray formulation preferably includes a polymerizate of an alkyl allyl amine monomer, preferably an alkyl diallyl amine monomer alone or in combination with other known monomers. The hair spray formulation preferentially satisfies low VOC requirements while maintaining characteristics desired in a hair fixative product.

Polyimides serve as reinforcing rigid-backbone segments in nylon 6 copolymers. In a first embodiment, the copolymers are prepared from polyimides containing acylated caprolactam moieties pendant therefrom which provide sites for polycaprolactam grafts. In a second embodiment, polyimide oligomers end-capped with acyl-activated caprolactam rings permit the formation of block caprolactam copolymers that include polyimide reinforcing segments. The polyimide/nylon 6 copolymers have properties superior to those of nylon 6 and can also serve as compatibilizing agents.

The present invention provides novel, long-acting nanoformulated drugs and targeted drug delivery methods, and uses thereof. In one embodiment, the nanoformulated drug is a retroviral drug. In one embodiment, the nanoformulated composition comprises a nanocarrier with one or more incorporated drugs. In an exemplary embodiment, the drug is efavirenz (EFV). In a further embodiment, the nanocarrier is associated with an agent for targeting microfold cells (M-cells). In a specific embodiment, the targeting agent binds to an M-cell marker known as glycoprotein 2 (GP2). Via this mechanism, the nanodrug is targeted toward GALT.
