Abstract:
A method removes and/or contains edge residue. A wafer comprised of a semiconductor material having a top surface, a bottom surface and an edge surface is provided. The bottom surface and the top surface are substantially planar and the edge surface is non-planar. Residue can be located on the edge surface, which can dislodge if not addressed and damage devices formed on the wafer. One or more devices can be at least partially formed on the top surface. A pre-metal dielectric liner is formed over the top surface of the wafer and covering at least a portion of the residue. An edge portion of the liner is etched or otherwise removed to expose the portion of the residue. Thereafter, a pre-metal dielectric layer is formed over the top surface of the wafer and the pre-metal dielectric liner. During formation of the pre-metal dielectric layer, the edge residue is removed and/or contained.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for controlling seismic source firings are disclosed. The methods and apparatus enable firing of seismic sources to increase pressure wave amplitude. Some methods and apparatus reduce ghosting and align first pressure peaks of multiple seismic sources. The multiple seismic sources may be fired sequentially according to active feedback mechanisms. Controlling the firing of the seismic source facilitates more accurate seismic data and a more consistent seismic source signature.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a system, method and program product for automatically extracting information (e.g., address information) from an identifier (e.g., a network port identifier). Specifically, under the present invention, a set of identifier parsing rules are applied to an identifier to determine sets of characters in the identifier that represent distinct pieces of information. Thereafter, a set of translation rules are applied to the sets of characters to translate the sets of characters into the distinct pieces of information. Once translated, the pieces of information can be electronically stored for later use. In addition, the present invention provides views of the sets of rules so that they can be observed and/or edited.
Abstract:
A system for forming a structure having load-bearing capabilities is provided. This system includes a material capable of conforming to a desired shape and an activator that includes a pre-measured amount of fluid. Both the material and the activator are contained within an activator-impervious sealed pouch. The pouch is clamped or sealed so as to isolate the conformable material from the activator by creating two separated areas within the pouch. In use, a device clamping the pouch is removed or an internal frangible seal of the pouch is broken so as to allow the activator to be mixed with the conformable material. Following this, the pouch is opened, and the activated material is removed. The activated material then may be applied to a surface where it hardens and forms a structure having load-bearing capabilities.
Abstract:
A system, method and program product for managing an information technology (IT) migration. A system is disclosed that includes: a database of inventory data records, wherein each inventory data record includes a set of migration parameters for a system to be migrated; a set of estimation tables that provide migration requirements for different sets of migration parameters; and a staffing system that estimates staffing requirements for the IT migration based on the inventory data records and set of estimation tables.
Abstract:
The present invention provides inter alia copper electroplating compositions, methods for use of the compositions and products formed by the compositions. Electroplating compositions of the invention contain an increased brightener concentration that can provide effective copper plate on difficult-to-plate aperture walls, including high aspect ratio, small diameter microvias.
Abstract:
A method of performing a seismic survey of a hydrocarbon reservoir in the earth formations beneath a body of water includes deploying a seismic cable from a drum carried by a remotely operated vehicle on the seabed. The cable is deployed into a lined trench, which is formed either concurrently with cable deployment or during a previous survey, to ensure good repeatability of successive surveys of the reservoir, in order to enable changes in characteristics of the reservoir, eg due to depletion, to be monitored.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for thermoforming deep drawn parts such as cups in which a vacuum is momentarily applied to a preheated sheet material when overlying a clamping plate prior to clamping and advance of the plug assists to delay contact with a lip molding feature projecting from each mold cavity. This avoids a molding defect due to premature cooling of a localized region of the sheet material when the sheet material comes into contact with the lip molding features.
Abstract:
A medical effector system comprised of a bedside unit and a procedure unit. The bedside unit contains a series of connection points for receiving inputs from a series of patient monitors. The procedure unit contains a patient monitoring and medical effector program, and a drug delivery pump or magnetic flux generator capable of delivering therapeutic energy to a patient. The medical effector system contains the capability to issue and receive a request from a non-sedated patient, issue and receive a request from a sedated patient and then to calculate a time difference. The medical effector program operates the pump or magnetic flux generator based upon at least some of the patient outputs and program inputs including a calculated time difference. A removable umbilical cable connects the two units and allows the output of the patient monitors as well as other information to travel between the two units.
