摘要: A vehicular headlamp in which a light-emitting element such as an LED is used as a light source and which has a light distribution with good accuracy. The headlamp includes a semiconductor light-emitting element in the form of a semiconductor chip and an optical system including a reflector and a lens with a fluorescent body arranged around the semiconductor chip. The focal point of the optical system is located on or closely adjacent the semiconductor chip constituting the light-emitting portion of the light-emitting element in which. Dimensional errors in the outer shape of the reflector or the fluorescent body are made to be not more than 0.1 millimeters, that is, smaller than the positional error of the light-emitting portion with respect to the reflector or the lens. The dimensional accuracy of the semiconductor chip and the like are improved, and thus accuracy required for light distribution control sufficiently assured.

摘要: A light-emitting module having a light-emitting efficiency. The light-emitting module that emits light includes a semiconductor light-emitting element operable to emit light, and a sealing member operable to seal the semiconductor light-emitting element with materials that transmit the light emitted from the light-emitting module, in which the semiconductor light-emitting element includes a sapphire substrate that transmits light toward the sealing member to send the transmitted light from a facing face facing the sealing member and forms a sub-wavelength grating for reducing reflection of light on the facing face in grid periods shorter than a wavelength of the light transmitted through the sapphire substrate, and a semiconductor layer that is formed on a rear face of the facing face in the sapphire substrate by crystal growth and emits light toward the sapphire substrate.

摘要: A vehicle headlamp is constituted to have a plurality of lamp units having light-emitting diodes as light sources. At that time, three types of lamp units of different radiation modes; that is, a projector-type lamp unit, direct-projection-type lamp units, and a reflection-type lamp unit, are used as the plurality of lamp units. As a result, a low-beam light distribution pattern obtained as a merged light distribution pattern formed from the light rays output from these three types of lamp units can be readily formed in a desired pattern geometry and a desired distribution of luminous intensity.

摘要: The present invention provides: a process for producing a high molecular weight thermoplastic resin composition, which can give the high molecular weight thermoplastic resin composition with good reproducibility and stably; and uses of the resultant resin composition. The process for producing a high molecular weight thermoplastic resin composition comprises the step of mixing a thermoplastic resin with pyromellitic dianhydride to carry out a reaction therebetween to convert the thermoplastic resin into a high molecular weight one, and this process is characterized in that the pyromellitic dianhydride has at least one of the following properties in particle form: (1) intrinsically linear or needle-like particle forms; (2) a bulk density of 0.4˜0.9 g/ml; and (3) a rest angle of 50˜70 degrees.

摘要: A call line selector of a cable telephony terminal device is connected to one telephone and this telephone is commonly used by two telephone systems. The call line selector automatically selects an optimum line from CATV and PSTN lines in correspondence with a dial number input from the telephone at the calling time, thereby connecting the selected line and the telephone and thereby enabling a user to have a telephone conversation. Also, at the receiving time, the call line selector detects a reception (incoming call) signal and, in correspondence with the detected result, connects the cable telephony line or PSTN line and the telephone and rings the bell of the telephone to notify the user of the reception of the incoming call signal.
