A method of coating a first resin solution containing a polymerization inducer on a moving web-like support with a coating device, comprising conveying the support to pass near the coating device without coming in contact with the coating device, disposing the first resin solution in a form of a first resin solution layer from the coating device onto the support; the first resin solution layer having a lower surface which faces the support and an upper surface opposite to the lower surface; and the coating device having a first release point at which the upper surface leaves the coating device and a second release point at which the lower surface leaves the coating device; overlaying the first release point with a solvent, thereby superimposing a solvent layer on the upper surface of the first resin solution layer; overlaying the second release point with a second resin solution which does not contain a polymerization inducer, thereby superimposing a second resin solution layer on the lower surface of the first resin solution layer; and applying the superimposed layers onto the support so that the solvent layer forms an uppermost layer on the support.

A serial data communication device of a half-duplex communication system includes two communication units. One of the communication units has a counter for measuring a length of a remaining time during one sending/receiving period set for one-way data transmission (a period during one sending/receiving period W from the time when the communication unit receives all the send data from the other communication unit to the time to start data sending). A send frequency in data sending is determined to as a lower value practicable in the range in which no collision of the data occurs, depending on the length of the measured remaining time. The other communication unit is configured so as to receive the send data of one communication unit to extract the send frequency in synchronization with a serial clock signal having the same frequency as the send frequency and send the data. Accordingly, send frequencies of the communication units associated with communication are automatically set to be as lower values as practicable depending on the distance of communication, so that effects of fluctuations in time such as jitter on the send data is reduced to a minimum.

A steering system for a vehicle comprises a front wheel turning mechanism for turning the front wheels in response to operation of a steering wheel, a steering ratio changing mechanism inserted into the front wheel turning mechanism to change the ratio of the turning angle of the steering wheel to the turning angle of the front wheels, and a vehicle speed sensor for detecting the vehicle speed. The steering ratio changing mechanism is controlled to increase the ratio as the vehicle speed increases, and as the vehicle speed increases, the control speed of the steering ratio changing mechanism is lowered.

An EGR device for an internal combustion engine, including an EGR valve body in an EGR pipe for changing the opening degree of the EGR pipe for regulating the amount of the recirculated exhaust gas, a diaphragm supported by casing of the EGR valve and connected to the EGR valve body for forming a negative pressure chamber, and a solenoid fixed to a sleeve of one of the casing for driving a spool valve in the direction to the diaphragm when the solenoid is excited. The excitation of the solenoid is controlled by a control circuit in accordance with the running conditions of the internal combustion engine.

There is provided a process for preparing a photosensitive plate for printing which comprises providing a heat-depositable fine powder having a constant directional size of 0.5-40.mu. onto the surface of a photosensitive plate for printing at a ratio of 0.005-0.5 g. of the said powder per m.sup.2 of the said plate to uniformly disperse and adhere the said powder onto the said surface, while preheating the right side (side on which powder adheres) and/or the reverse side of the said plate upon providing said powder or before or after providing, and subsequently contacting the right side of the said plate with a heating roll having a high releasing surface, whereby the said fine powder is fused and fixed on onto the surface of the said plate.

A station building power supply device according to the present invention includes: a station building power generation unit including an inverter main circuit and an inverter control circuit to control the inverter main circuit, in which the inverter main circuit converts a voltage supplied from an overhead wire into a voltage required by loads in a station building; a control-circuit power generation unit that converts a voltage supplied to the loads in the station building and generates an input voltage for the inverter control circuit; and a start-up power generation unit that converts a voltage supplied from the overhead wire and generates an input voltage for the inverter control circuit, in a state where the inverter main circuit has stopped the operation and the control-circuit power generation unit has stopped an operation of generating the input voltage for the inverter control circuit.

Provided is an inverter device that can reduce high-frequency noise. The inverter device includes a transformer for converting the voltage of the AC power output from an inverter circuit and outputting the resulting power. Each of first to third coil sections for converting the voltage of the AC power output from the inverter circuit and outputting the resulting power includes an inner coil respectively wound around first to third core sections and an outer coil. The first to third core sections are each column shaped having an axis in the Y direction, and are arranged in the Z direction. Non-magnetic pressing members are provided between the adjacent coil sections and between the adjacent coil sections. The pressing members press against the adjacent coil sections and the adjacent coil sections respectively.
