摘要: A battery includes a battery cell stack disposed within a housing such that a gap exists between the battery cell stack and an inner surface of the housing. The battery cell stack includes a plurality of battery cells that each include a positive electrode tab and a negative electrode tab electrically coupled to an electrode assembly and extending from the electrode assembly outside of a case. The positive electrode tabs and/or the negative electrode tabs of the plurality of battery cells extend into the gap between the battery cell stack and the inner surface of the housing. A filler material fills the gap and provides a thermally conductive pathway between the positive electrode tabs and/or the negative electrode tabs of the plurality of battery cells and the inner surface of the housing. The filler material includes a thermally conductive particulate component distributed throughout a polymeric matrix component.

摘要: A quality control system analyzes the quality of a battery cell, with the battery cell defining a gas pouch configured to expand from a deflated configuration to an inflated configuration when filled with a gas formed during a cell formation process. The system comprises a computational system comprising a processor and a memory and a measurement instrument in electronic communication with the computational system. The measurement instrument is arranged to measure a distance defined by the gas pouch and transmit a signal to the computational system corresponding to the distance. The computational system is arranged to analyze the distance with the processor and determine a volumetric measurement of the gas within the gas pouch and compare the volumetric measurement to a threshold in the memory to assess a quality score for the battery cell. A corresponding method analyzes the quality of the battery cell with the quality control system.

The method further includes creating a plurality of multi-layer bitmaps for each of the plurality of vehicles using the sensor data, fusing the plurality of the multi-layer bitmaps of each of the plurality of vehicles to create a fused multi-layer bitmap, creating a plurality of multi-layer probability density bitmaps using the fused multi-layer bitmap, extracting lane line data from the plurality of multi-layer probability density bitmaps, and creating the high-definition (HD) map of the roadway using the multi-layer probability density bitmaps and the lane line data extracted from the plurality of multi-layer probability density bitmaps.

摘要: A dual band stacked patch antenna includes a first patch antenna arrangement coupled to and stacked on a substrate, the first patch antenna arrangement being configured to receive right hand circularly polarized signals in a first frequency band and a second patch antenna arrangement coupled to and stacked on the first patch antenna arrangement, the second patch antenna arrangement being configured to receive right hand circularly polarized signals in a second frequency band. A dielectric superstrate is stacked on the second patch antenna arrangement. Signals in the first and second frequency bands are transmitted to the first and the second patch antenna arrangements through the dielectric superstrate. A single signal feed is shared by both the first patch antenna arrangement and the second patch antenna arrangement and acts to transmit electrical signals representative of the right hand circularly polarized signals in the first and the second frequency bands.

Each first portion has a conductive first terminal and each second portion has a conductive second terminal. The module further comprises at least one cell holder in which the plurality of battery cells is disposed. The module further comprises first and second current collectors. The first current collector comprises a first metal substrate and a first copper-graphene (Cu-Gr) multilayer composite disposed on the first metal substrate. The first current collector is disposed on the first end of the plurality of battery cells. The second current collector comprises a second metal substrate and a second Cu-Gr multilayer composite disposed on the second metal substrate. The second current collector is disposed on the second end of the plurality of battery cells.

摘要: A skid plate for a vehicle includes a first layer, including a first material and a second layer, including a second material, which may be different from the first material. The second layer may be attached or bonded to the first layer and may convert a concentrated load into a distributed load. The second layer may provide thermal insulation for at least one underbody component of the vehicle. For example, the first layer may be metallic, while the second layer may be a rigid foam. The rigid foam may include an expanding adhesive foam. An adhesive may be disposed between the first layer and the second layer, to attach or bond the first layer to the second layer. The second layer may be adjacent to at least one underbody component of the vehicle. The concentrated load may correspond with a contact to the first layer of the skid plate.
