摘要： One method for creating barrier products (for example, condoms and gloves) includes: (a) dipping a former into a tank of elastic compound. The former has an indentation extending inwardly from an outer surface for creating a first protrusion on a first face of the barrier product. The method further includes: (b) removing the former from the tank of elastic compound, whereby some of the elastic compound removably adheres to the former and fills the indentation; (c) applying supplemental material to the elastic compound, whereby creating a second protrusion on a second face of the barrier product; and (d) fully drying the supplemental material. One barrier product includes an elastic wall having opposed faces, and first and second protrusions respectively extend from the opposed faces. The first and second protrusions are in cross-sectional alignment whereby rotational input forces on the first protrusion create rotational output forces on the second protrusion.

摘要： An inspection system and method for scanning and recording defects in the surface of the smooth inner wall of dual wall corrugated plastic pipe during manufacture utilizing automated laser technology, in order to minimize potential disruptions in the manufacturing extrusion process and alleviate concerns as to improper formation of the inner wall. The inspection system includes conical laser pattern generator that passes through the dual wall corrugated pipe during the manufacturing process to complete 360 degree scan coverage of the surface of the inner smooth wall of the pipe. The inspection system further includes a set of cameras properly aligned to record comprehensive three dimensional coverage of the scanned image of the inner wall of the dual wall corrugated pipe. This inspection system and method has particular benefits in the manufacture of coilable dual wall corrugated plastic pipe, where the material make-up of the polymer melt used for the inner wall has been altered.

The object of this invention is to provide the laminated tube and molded tube products comprising the laminated tube, which shows the decorative effect, derived from the laminated outer layer, and enables the user to identify the tube only by touch. The outer layer is laminated onto the main body of the tube. By changing the number, width, or shape of the projecting portions, it is possible to give the decorative effect and identifiable features to the laminated tube. The laminated tube can be used to mold tube products, such as tubular containers and pouch containers.

In the molding apparatus of the present invention, the thermoplastic resin extruded from an extruding machine in a sheet form is adsorbed onto a cavity surface of the mold. As a result, the thermoplastic resin is shaped into a shape according to the cavity surface. The molding apparatus includes a frame that is positioned around the mold and is movable relative to the mold. In the frame, a suction part to suck the thermoplastic resin is provided.

摘要： A dilation catheter for use in medical procedures is provided including a dilation balloon disposed on the distal end of a flexible tubular shaft. The balloon has perfusion characteristics and may be varied between a collapsed condition and an expanded condition by the introduction of fluid into the balloon. The balloon includes a compliant portion which extends radially outwardly when the balloon is in its expanded condition for engaging a body vessel wall and a non-compliant longitudinal section which traverses the length of the balloon and does not extend radially outwardly when the balloon is in its expanded condition, forming a perfusion channel.
