    摘要: A two-stroke engine is provided with a piston, a cylinder that houses the piston in a manner allowing reciprocation, a crankshaft that is connected to the piston via a connecting rod, a crankcase that houses the crankshaft in a manner allowing rotation, a mixture gas passage that introduces mixture gas into the crankcase, a scavenging passage that extends between a scavenging intake that opens into the crankcase and a scavenging port that opens into the cylinder; and an air passage that is connected to an intermediate position of the scavenging passage for introducing air into the scavenging passage. The engine is adapted such that, in a part of an upward stroke period of the piston, the crankcase in which negative pressure is generated is connected to the scavenging passage via the scavenging port.

The collecting pipe has a front-end portion communicated to exhaust passages of the exhaust pipes, a middle portion for collecting the exhaust introduced from the front-end portion, and a rear-end portion for further collecting the exhaust introduced from the middle portion. The middle portion is provided with exhaust control means for controlling the area of the exhaust passages in accordance with engine speed.

    摘要: A control valve is disposed in a communication passage for communication between a combustion chamber and a chamber portion adjacent to the combustion chamber, and through the communication passage at least one of a fuel and an air-fuel mixture, and a highly compressed gas, are supplied or charged into the combustion chamber and the chamber portion adjacent thereto, respectively. The control valve includes a first control valve disposed in the first communication passage and a second control valve disposed in the second communication passage, the first control valve causes the first communication passage to open at a timing near closing of an exhaust port and causes it to close halfway in a compression stroke. The second control valve causes the second communication passage to open at a timing near closing of the scavenging ports and causes it to close prior to closing of the first communication passage.

    摘要: Process and device for supplying air to the cylinder of a two-stroke internal combustion engine, with at least one set of two cylinders arranged at 180 degrees, supercharged by a post-filling effect. Said device is characterized in that it comprises a volumetric pimp defined by the natural movement of a piston between its top dead center and its bottom dead center and inversely, connected to intake air transit means (8A, 8B) for the air supply thereto. Advantageously the volumetric pump is formed by the pump casing of the cylinder which is in the scavenging phase. In a variant, this device comprises at least one transfer passage (30) intermittently connecting the transit means (8A, 8B) with the upstream pump casing (6B, or 6A) associated therewith. The device of the invention provides, at all times, the required aie supply and hence correct operation of the engine even at low loads or during start-up, and in an easy manner.

The working chamber is formed, in addition to a main scavenging port communicated with the crankchamber, with an auxiliary scavenging port which is communicated with the sub-intake chamber through a super-charging reservoir.

The intake system includes a main intake passage having one end connected with the combustion chamber to have the intake gas therein taken into the combustion chamber under a suction pressure prevailing in the combustion chamber, a main throttle valve provided in the main intake passage, an auxiliary intake passage having one end connected with the combustion chamber, a supercharger provided in the auxiliary intake passage for providing a supply of supercharging gas to the combustion chamber, an auxiliary throttle valve provided in the auxiliary intake passage downstream of the supercharger, a timing valve provided in the auxiliary intake passage downstream of the auxiliary throttle valve, a valve operating device for operating the timing valve in response to the rotation of the engine, an engine load sensor for detecting engine load, a valve timing control device for controlling opening timing of the timing valve so that the timing valve is opened at least in a beginning period of the compression stroke, the valve timing control device is so designed that the opening timing is advanced in response to a decrease in the engine load.
