Abstract: A construction board includes a foam body having first and second planar surfaces, said foam body including a polyisocyanurate foam matrix defining a plurality of closed cells, said closed cells being at least substantially devoid of hydrocarbon blowing agents, and said foam body being characterized by a density, pursuant to ASTM C303, of at least 2.5 lbs/ft3; and a facer disposed on a planar surface of said foam body, said facer including a glass substrate having an internal planar surface proximate to said foam body and an external planar surface opposite said foam body, a first coating disposed on said external surface, and a second coating disposed on or proximate to said internal surface, where said first coating disposed on said external surface includes an inert filler, and where said second coating disposed on or proximate to said internal surface includes intumescent material.

Abstract: A method of continuously manufacturing a cured membrane includes continuously compounding and mixing a vulcanizable rubber composition in a mixing extruder while continuously removing gasses from the vulcanizable rubber composition during mixing with a vacuum. The vulcanizable rubber composition may be continuously extruded to form an extrudate, which may be continuously calendered to form a green membrane. The green membrane may be continuously cured, such as by a hot air conveyor curing system, to form a cured membrane.

Abstract: An arrangement for supporting a rotary drum, the rotary drum having at least three riding rings distributedly arranged along the axial direction of the rotary drum, the arrangement including a pair of relatively spaced rollers for supporting a riding ring, at least one bearing for each roller, a support for each bearing mounted for movement of the roller toward and away from the shell of the rotary drum and a spring system exerting a spring force acting on the support to counteract the weight of the rotary drum resting on the rollers, wherein the spring system includes a pressure vessel charged with a compressed gas that exerts the spring force and the rotary drum includes at least three riding rings and only at least one middle ring arranged between two outer rings is supported by a pair of relatively spaced rollers that are equipped with the spring system.
